The only Drake song I can remember is the one where he’s singing and there’s fire everywhere and a horn keeps going off and lil Wayne is in it. Other than that I know he’s famous and I’ve probably heard a song of his before but couldn’t name or remember one. I’m not a fan of that kinda music though.

If Outkast is still making records, this is false. If not, well whatever.

What’s a good song of his to showcase that I can start with?

All put those numbers up in a time when people could only by vinyl, and it was half the world population.

And when they made actual music instead of just reading shitty poetry over some uninspired music track with ridiculously excessive bass.

There’s plenty of examples of this out there and Drake isn’t one of them.

The Canadian rapper has two tracks in this week’s chart in collaboration with DJ Khaled, Popstar at No 3 and Greece at No 8, bringing his total Top 10 hits to 40 and beating Madonna’s record of 38.

The key is collaborating. The vast majority of those other artists didn’t achieve those numbers via collabs. It’s one thing to pump out hits in conjunction with other major acts. It’s another to crank out hits solely on your own talent.

The way the charts are tabulated has made that record much easier to achieve now than when those other artists were at their peak.

Correct. Billboard now allows every song from an album to chart whereas in the past, only songs officially released as a single could chart. Any chart record from the current age needs an asterisk.

Bunch of boomers in this thread. Almost like all older people hate the younger generations music.

I've been wondering about this because there are iconic artists and songs that have lower chart numbers than you'd think. I know streaming has changed things but it's gotta be more than that.
