Does anyone still buy/listen to CD's?

I feel like I'm in retro mode nowadays when I pop a CD into my CD player in my car. Everything is digital these days, which definitely has its upsides, although I'll always have fond memories and a soft spot in my heart for CD's. How many of y'all still buy and listen to CD's?

Every now and then I'll buy a used one to throw in the car CD player. Sometimes it's just easier to queue that up than connect the phone and search for something on Spotify.
And some of the LP's I buy come with a CD included.

I get them from a fan club I'm a member of every year, and occasionally will buy one if it is a good concert or something new from an artist I like. I have about a dozen or so in my Jeep and will pop one in now and then when I'm not listening to podcasts or XM.

I pick them up at the used book store when I see a good one. They sound better in my car than mp3's or satellite radio.

I do. Bring a CD player to work because of the lousy music on the PA.

Yes, buy them all the time. I prefer not to steal music from the musicians I like.

I still buy CDs because I like to have an uncompressed version of the music available. I can rip it to FLAC for my home stereo and also rip it to mp3 for the iPod in the car.
It seems stupid to me to have to buy physical media so that I can have all of the bits but the music industry is nothing if not stupid.

Certain bands I still buy CD's.

I don't bc of the obvious. But I still can't bring myself to toss the hundreds of CDs I have. Even though I ripped them all or purchased a digital copy...not sure why. Haven't listened to a CD in years. I even packed them all up and moved them when I got a new place

What are cd's? I still listen to record albums...vinyl.

yes, especially for local bands, because my car stereo lacks an aux jack.

I do CD exclusively. Other than radio.
Wished I didn't give my 500 album collection of vinyl away 15 years ago. Not for the snaps and pops but for the artwork.

Some of the longer songs are left off of MP3 sales and are available only on the CD or vinyl album.
I have no idea why and I think it is stupid.

I still buy CDs. I like having the "album" along with the liner notes and artwork. CDs sound better and I can rip them onto iTunes to use digitally for my iPhone to play in the car. When you rip at 320 kbs it is almost as good as the .wav file, but not quite.
I made the mistake long ago in the 80s when I was a youth to get rid of all my vinyl records and move to all CDs. I have about 800 of them. I wish I still had all my records and I'm not making that mistake again.

I have about 500 CD's that I have no use for. Any recommendations on where I can recycle them?
