Anyone said Hurt? I think Johnny Cash’s was far better than NIN.

Brit Floyd was spectacular in concert. Stayed true to every lyric/guitar riff etc. Light show solidified the concert as a top 3 - and ive seen hundreds of good ones.

My Body - Volbeat

Original by Young the Giant

I actually might like both versions equally

Just heard this one today. I'm giving it the edge over the original because of the twin guitars (one in each channel) of Taylor and Richards and because Mick distinctly says "gimme the beat boys." Until I actually read a copy of the lyrics I had always thought the lyrics were "give me the Beach Boys and free my soul."

Wish they would have finished it properly and released on It's Only Rock and Roll. Guess it would've taken Ain't Too Proud To Beg

Sad Songs and Waltzes - Cake
Personal Jesus - Johnny Cash
Stupid Girl - Ellen Foley
Poor Poor Pitiful Me - Linda Ronstadt
Sinnerman - Nina Simone
The Tide is High - Blondie

*Bonus*
Paul Simon wrote "Red Rubber Ball" and the studio let The Cyrkle record it while Simon and Garfunkel were working on other material, and it of course became a massive hit. There's a live performance where they perform it (not sure if it was ever recorded) that is basically a masterpiece.

Five Finger Death Punch - Bad Company

No way. If Bad Company’s version doesn’t make you feel something, you’re dead. 5FDP’s version does nothing for me, and I like them.

Five Finger Death Punch - Gone Away

This remake is pretty bad. They should stop doing covers.

Shinedown - Simple Man (and I love Skynyrd’s version)

Now you’re just fricking with us.

Honorable mention, though I won’t say it’s better or worse than the original, is Chris Cornell’s cover of Billie Jean. It’s hauntingly great.
