The Seanger was such a killer venue. Saw Genesis, Dio, Stone Temple Pilots there...........Butthole Surfers were some strange frickers, they put the Audience in a trance with some sort of Satanic Chant.......

The Saenger had some good shows back then. New Order, Chili Peppers, Black Crowes.

They pulled the plug on the Chili Peppers back in '89 b/c the audience was destroying the place.

Neil Young at Jazz Fest in 09 was my favorite concert easily. The Neville Brothers came on after and shut the fest down.

Two WP concerts come in a distant second and third:

Red Rocks 6/26/11
Knoxville 9/26/11

Thievery Corporation and Buddy Guy at Mile High Festival in 08 were great too.

I understand the Phish love after seeing them at The Gorge this past summer for the first time.

That is rad to the bone.

Robert Randolph blows my mind every time. Other than that:

2003 - David Byrne with the Tosca String Orchestra. Ryman

2006 - Radiohead - Bonnaroo

2000 - Metallica - Texas Stadium

2003 - Tool - UNO Lakefront

2001(2?) - the first time I saw Galactic at Tips

I remember those the most, but I've been to hundreds. Some of the smallest are the most fun. Derek Trucks did a free show in Nashville in 2004 that was one of the better shows I've seen.

I've been to well over 100 various shows, but the best one I've ever seen, due to the hugeness of the stage/production, etc. was Roger Waters The Wall tour last year. It was just unbelievable.

They build the wall for the entire first half, and then use it for basically a screen for video and graphics the second half.

A couple videos from youtube that won't do it justice.

Without a question it was a concert given by the majestic organist at Notre Dame, Paris, Olivier Latry. It was back in 2000 when my parents sent me to New York to visit a school and to hear him. Absolutely incredible and I've never heard anyone play like he did. FABULOUS!

They pulled the plug at that concert because that buffoon Flea destroyed what was, at the time, the nicest organ in New Orleans, and possibly the South. Not funny to trash one of the cultural landmarks of our city.

My most historic and certainly one of the best was Jimi Hendrix and the Experience. I was just a lad but it blew me away.

The Allman Brothers when Duane and Berry were alive. fricking amazing.

First time I saw the Stones.

Others are right up there
