Any Slipknot concert. Even if you aren't a fan of that type of music you can't help but really enjoy their concerts. They put on really entertaining concerts

Any of the many RUSH shows I've been to.
KISS is always good.

Mojo Nixon at a bar near the South Gate in 1988. He was hilarious and rockin' like hell.
His opening was a Donaldsonville band called The Dick Nixons, all of whose songs were about you-know-who ("Dick Nixon fought the law, and the law won" was one lyric of theirs -- another was "If you don't bring Dick Nixon back, We're gonna paint the White House black!").
I recall somebody was there with a video camera shooting the show -- I'd love to get a copy of that tape...
Weirdest show: Jonathan Richman c. '96, before an audience of perhaps 8 people. While Jonathan was singing a train derailed nearby and we had to evacuate the club...

Johnny Cash House of Blues New Orleans - stood at his feet at front of stage the entire show.
Eric Clapton - House of Blues New Orleans - only let in few people. Had tables setup on the floor. Was amazing.
BB King - Several times at Club Ebony in Indianola, MS...club where he started. Best was when I was standing in front of him as he played on a two foot riser, he finished The Thrill is Gone, and on the last note handed me his pick and walked off the stage

Mine was watching the Grand Ole Opry live at the Ryman Auditorium when they first reopened it after the remodel.
I had never gotten to see the Ryman before that and seeing the Opry there made it that much more awesome.

Neil Diamond puts on a great show. Robert Randolph and the Family Band is amazing. I was at Jazzfest a couple of years ago and saw the last time Simon and Garfunkel sang together...a deep experience for me.

Honestly I probably had the most fun at the Snoop Dogg show in the Varsity last year. The football team was there with Les. It was a good time.
So, I should go see them Friday for free?

I haven't been to many really big ones, but Jamey Johnson at the Texas Club in 2009 was amazing. Sang all the songs from his album and played old covers until they shut the place down. He would've played longer had they let him.

For sure. Even if the only KISS song you know is Rock N Roll All Nite, it's still a sight to behold with maximum entertainment.

Springsteen at the Meadowlands, this was the third time I had seen him and by far the best.
Robert Randolph at Jazz Fest a few years ago when he played on the Gentilly stage, incredible.
Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins and RHCP at Municipal Audtorium on the Blood Sugar Sex Magic tour.
Lenny Kravitz at Tips when his first album came out.
Hoodoo Gurus at Tips.
