Not just by touring, but by making successful records

The top 5 have to be, in no order,

AC/DC
Van Halen
Doobie Brothers
Journey
Genesis

Alice in Chains

I didn’t listen to them after Layne’s death, but looking it up I’m surprised at the success they did have in later years.

May have to listen.

Pink Floyd-Yes if you are talking Barret to Waters
Iron Maiden-Yes probably the biggest one; although 1st and 2nd albums still great
Black Sabbath-Hell no. Ozzy is the lead singer of Sabbath no matter how much i love Dio.

William DuVall sounds great without trying to be a Layne clone. I saw them last year and was impressed.
