Martyrs

The Eye's of My Mother.. I mean shite. Some messed up stuff in that one. Have a watch.

Event Horizon is phenomenal. Very disturbing. The gates of hell in space. What a concept.

Exorcist.. from a spirituality stand point. Very creepy and disturbing.

Paranormal Activity(the original) was AMAZING theater. The minuscule amount of money that took to produce it, and the amount of money they made should be applauded. Newer concept at the time for most people. Really made you aware of every sound in the house.

The Ring was also phenomenal. I remember watching it when I was still in school. I was leery of TV screens and the phone ringing for awhile.

One that wont get mentioned is the Mothman prophecies. The fact of it being a "true" story is very creepy. Not to mention my grandparents drove over that bridge an hour before it collapsed.

Oh and how could I forget. Hell House LLC. AWESOME found footage film. SCARY as shite.

Little of both. But it's smart, well paced, and fun.

Great casting too. Seriously, watch it.

From Wiki

Movie Hereditary

quote:

Release
Hereditary premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 21, 2018.[22][23] The trailer for the film was released on January 30, 2018.[24] On Anzac Day in 2018, the trailer for Hereditary played before the PG-rated family film Peter Rabbit in a cinema in Innaloo, Western Australia. According to a report in The Sydney Morning Herald, the Hereditary preview was accidentally shown to family audiences and created a small panic in the theater. The theater was apparently full of families including "at least 40 children"

That scene in hereditary with the little girl in the car is just so shocking. I remember sitting in the theater thinking it was a dream or something

Just finished event horizon and really liked it. Was surprised to see a 6.6 rating on IMDb. Would have been awesome if we would have got the unedited version

Watched Cabin Fever 2 for the first time in a long time last night on Prime. That is one messed up movie and I have a pretty heavy tolerance for that stuff. I’m not talking about your run of the mill sick shite either. Herpes closeups, oozing pus from a fingernail, throwing up chunks in people’s mouths, a girl spitting a guy’s load in a sink, strippers giving lap dances and leaving stuff behind, a REALLY fat girl having sex in a pool till her teeth come out and I won’t even describe what happened in the shower.

It's one of those movies that bombed when it came out but now it's a cult classic.

Bone Tomahawk. Not the cannibalism scene. The pre-natal unit in the cave.

Loved this movie, was super creepy/mysterious/didnt know what to expect next, many times throughout the movie

Hereditary is 5x more disturbing than The Exorcist imo. But as mentioned by another poster, no one has mentioned any of the French Extremity/Gore movies, which are supposedly the most fricked up of any genre in existence

The Sadness is pretty fricked up. Basically a movie version of the Crossed graphic novels.

I watched Event Horizon today because of this thread. It's not really scary in terms of gotcha moments when people jump out of the shadows. There are some of those. I'd say it's more disturbing. Someone said it's hell on a spaceship and I think thats a pretty good description. I actually thought it could be more visually morbid. Maybe that is what the directors cut did that people are talking about.

Those were the best Rob Zombie movies.
The dude puts his wife as the lead in everything. But that time it worked.
