Also, every time Jaime's on the screen, it makes me think of Theon Greyjoy devolving into Reek in GoT. I want to like him, but jeez Sheridan has written him into a shell of a human

Why is the name of the ranch 6666?
They made this place out to be some horrible place that runs slaves or something. It’s just another ranch, I don’t get why everyone was hyping it up.
Beth becoming a caricature of herself has ruined this season for me. I think the dinner scene at the new table was the first time all season she wasn’t trying to be some ridiculously forced hardass

This show seems to be rudderless this season. Seems to just be meandering aimlessly about. Too many storylines, not enough movement forward.
Example, how in the frick is the only scene we get of Kayce last night Monica telling him she's pregnant?
I don't mind Jimmy as a character and am glad he seems to be finally becoming a competent hand. But he in no way, shape, or form should ever get more screentime than Kayce.

Beth's character has always been a caricature. Nothing about her is realistic at all.

Why in the frick is she still going into the bathroom while he's bathing at like 13 years old????

We wondered the same thing when they were still living in Johns house? Kid has to be at least 8. Why is she bathing him?

this kid has
been stuck in a culvert with a rattle snake
Fallen in a freezing river
been kidnapped and terrorized by skinheads
had to kill a man to protect his mom
and now has his mom in the bathroom while he's bathing during puberty.
he may end up being a mass murderer.

The supporters of this show are growing few and far between.
Sometimes the "show everyone is talking about" is actually good TV. Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Succession.
Sometimes, it's Yellowstone. And it's bad.
Oh my god the "boy" is talking about his stiff pee pee in the bathtub.

The first scene with Jamie where he is just howling “ how can i beat him” might be the worst acted scene in the entire series

He definitely grew up too fast for these writers. They're still writing these cutesy little kindergarten one liners for him and he's got a five O'clock shadow. It's like when the fat kid on 2 1/2 men got older.

Great point. We just finished Succession and then watched Yellowstone and Jesus H what a difference in acting quality

I thought it was the week before. When he thought it was him to be announced as her choice for governor. Poorly acted, poorly staged, such an obvious setup.
This show is amateur hour.

There just isn’t a continuity to any of the scenes. Everything is so out of place.
I think this week the scenes were something like 1883, Beth/rip, protesters, Jamie, 6666, protesters, dinner scene, 6666, Monica/kayce, diner scene. I’m sure I missed some but who thought that was a good idea for an episode?

I was pretty sure Sheridan having a ranching background was bs but the the scene with Jimmy kicking off his spurred up boots sealed the deal. Wearing them outside of work is pretty universally frowned upon and is flat out rude to wear in a house/restaurant.

Someone needs to drop a link to this in Sheridans inbox. He has managed to trash an easily good show with sheer laziness and cringe. He needs to pull a rabbit out of his hat to redeem it.
