What could be happening in Harlan county to keep a US Marshal busy fur 6 seasons in Justified. What could possibly be happening in Absaroka county to keep Sheriff Longmire busy for 6 seasons. You kind of have to suspend belief in that regard with this type shows in rural settings.
And dont forget Joe Pickett in Saddlestring, Wyoming and he is a game warden. You really have to check reality at the door to believe that much happens to a game warden in rural Wyoming.

Yellowstone is now a joke and he needs to leave that behind.
Tulsa King, Landman, Lioness and Mayor of Kingstown are all solid.

What happened to the Beth and Rip, 6666, and Matthew McConaughey spinoffs?
Given TS tendency for tragedy in the Yellowstone/Dutton world, I fully expect him to kill off Monica and maybe Tate as well. If not killed then kidnapped or something. With the way Yellowstone ended, Kayce finally had the life he wanted with his family. Only tragedy could pull him away from that.
As far as his Ranch I guess he could form some type of Co-op with Beth and Rip since they're getting a spin off as well.

the last line of defense in the region’s war on violence
Is there really that much violence in Montana? It seems like most of the violence in the State revolved around the Duttons and their ranch.

There are 20 books in the Walt Longmire series, with a 21st coming out on the 21st of this month.

the project was made official as part of CBS’s upcoming 2025–2026 broadcast schedule reveal, marking the first time a Yellowstone series will debut directly on network TV rather than streaming on Paramount+.
Yellowstone without Costner and neutered down for network tv sounds like the worst thing I could imagine. Literally a soap opera.

The trifecta of the Bennetts, the Dixie Mafia and The Crowders.

Thanks for the heads up. I’m all caught up on the books. It’s been my main pastime on long trips the last few years.

Beth
She's the main reason I couldn't get through the first season. Can't stand her.
She is the main reason I have not watched the last episodes of Yellowstone. I keep hoping she would die painfully.

I never would have guessed Montana was a high crime area.
