Season 2 has been released
On Disney+ with the first 3 available. I haven’t been able to watch yet but I hope it’s somewhere close to the first season.

Jubilee gets more screen time on this show than Wolverine…that’s a problem.

ETA: of course I go to Reddit and they’re stoked for how featured she is

I'm more than happy with less Wolverine. He's oversaturated and overrated.

Jubilee is worse.

First 3 episodes is enough for me to notice the writers badly need Beau DeMayo back.

Jubilee was basically the protag of the 90s cartoon so it makes some sense.

I thought he wrote this season and Disney just removed his writing credits because of his onlyfans activity. I could be wrong though.

Yep. The first season of the original basically uses her to introduce the world overall.

Marvel tried to make that character interesting and beloved, and it never really took off. Even Generation X, which was "her" team, had more interesting characters that later became more prominent than Jubilee, such as Skin and Chamber.

What I'd love, but doubt will ever happen, is a multi-season story that faithfully retells Age of Apocalypse. I was all-consumed with that crossover in 96. Excellent story, and very clever reimagining of the world at large.

Looks like you're right. Interesting. I do think it'll get much better once they're all back in the 90's though.

That was great but Fatal Attractions was the best 90s crossover. That comic with Wolverine getting his metal ripped out was crazy as a kid. To us it was bigger than Batman bring his back broken but not as big as the death of Superman grift.

Fatal Attractions was a touch before my time. I know the story, and enjoyed some of the characters that were borne from it (Exodus, and evil Colossus). But aside from Wolvie getting FUBAR, I don't know a ton about the story overall.

To echo your point, Knightfall was a masterwork of comic story telling. And the Death of Superman was cool - until he didn't stay dead.

Wolverine is hugely popular for a reason, he doesn’t have to be the focus but he’s barely a side character in this

I think you’re only saying this because you were a member of his only fans

Interesting that he was still in the opening credits, I’m sure he’ll be back.

I'm going respectfully disagree. For me, Acts of Vengeance was the best.

From the advertising art...

To the idea of different villain groups squaring off against heroes they normally don't encounter...

To the side-story of bringing Magneto and the Red Skull together...

But I digress.

For the show, they have already shown with these few episodes this season that they are plot-armoring the frick out of Jubilee and given her a girl-boss attitude to make her a Mary Sue. I feel like they rushed the Nur story and treated (at least thus far) the Immortus angle as nothing more than a throwaway, but then it's only been three episodes. The Cable story is being handled well and since it's the real focus I think it will make up for the lackluster treatment of the ancillaries.

I still wish we had both Sam and Bobby instead of just giving Bobby flight (and, oddly, the ability to hurl some sort of fireballs??), but Hollywood gotta Hollywood.

The scene with Nathan looking massive in a tiny booth, leaning way down to take a sip from a straw before answering a question
The jab at Havoc was pretty funny, too

AoA was awesome. I had the issue with the reflective metallic cover when that arc started. My mom burned it along with all my other comic books when she decided they were possessed by demons. Good times.
