Jubilee was basically the protag of the 90s cartoon so it makes some sense.
The first season, before they turned Ryan into a mega douche.
She was the stand in for the audience. She was new to the world, and so people explain things to her for the audience's benefit.

Something is better than nothing, and the animation in this series is certainly improved from the original series, but the current format is not conducive for good storytelling. An arc that should last three or four episodes and be full of intertwining character interactions is over in part of an episode filled with cameo-level appearances.
It's hard to get invested in a story when it's already over before it starts.

Season started well but ended pretty rough, it all felt rushed. I thought this would continue into season 3 with so much to tie up in the finale…but the episode wasn’t even extended and apocalypse was defeated in about 30 seconds

I thought the season was solid, but did not live up to S1. Once they all got back to the 90s it really fell off

Between Gambit and the post credits scene, I think all of this ties into the X-Men going forward into the new Avengers movie coming later this year.

Beau Demayo, although an insane person and POS, wrote the first 4 eps and the 1st season and ran the show until being fired.
The show fell off a cliff once he left. Filler eps and rushed finale where your biggest villain gets turned into a jar....
Demayo is a nujob, but he understood what made the Xmen tick and what people wanted to see on a level no one else ever employed by Disney did or probably will.

Agreed. I see the story they were trying to tell, and they stuck the landing with the final NC scene, but they sacrificed some exposition with absolute shite fight scenes (looking at you, Mary-Sue Jubilee).

I don't get why they're limiting themselves to 91-episodes at 25min (after credits, recap, etc). I hate the streaming model in that respect.
