Hell, Jay Pritchett might not even get the green light in 2021.
I agree, but the people at the studios who decide what does and doesn't get produced seem to be going with the former.

I just feel like it was too "poor black stereotype" for 2021. Liberal white people would get offended by it.

I would hate to try and make a career out of being a comedian today- every audience would have some puss be offended by something!!

He’s white isn't he? So yes
Posted on 6/16/21 at 4:06 pm to CAD703X
Why would he be considered racist?

Didn't he have a black friend? He was just a product of his environment. Can you blame him for being sexist? Having to live with that wife and daughter..
And who wasn't a homophobe in the 80s and 90s?

Probably... but what's funny is that in the joke you have in your post, he's mocking someone for their weight - neither their gender nor their sexual orientation.

Sexist for sure.
He never said or did anything racist.
Not a homophobe. He helped Pete fix his relationship with Andy.

Used to lol at the way the whole family would shite on Bud.
I loved the episodes when he went through his "Grandmaster B" phase. Kelly and Peg would call him things like "Bedwetter B", "Grand Marshall B", "Court Jester B".

He was a sexist then too, it’s still funny.

Not in the minds of sane people, that enjoy that brand of robust, manly humor.

They never touched race much but there was the episode where Peggy was going out every night dancing with a gay man and the gay mans husband ended up cooking for Al. He even still served Al using bucks dog dish
