Why why why is the Paramount + app such a steaming pile of crap?

It is the most buggy messed up streaming app I've come across. It often gets hung up after ads, forcing me to close and open up again.....thus brining up more ads. Sometimes after ads it will revert to the previous time stamp, but won't allow me to drag the progress bar to the correct spot so I have to hammer the "forward 10 seconds" button endlessly to fix it.
My personal "favorite" is the flashing screen, or the seizure inducer. I can usually close the app and fix this but last night we couldn't get it to go away and the frequency of it was nauseating. We had to switch to netflix and watch something else.
I've searched and can't find a reason why it's so buggy. We've switched devices and tried to watch it through Chrome and get the same results.
We're watching through Frasier again, really enjoying it, but I'm about to call it because it's a legit fight with the app nightly.

ETA The cynical side of me is saying this is their way to force you to subscribe to the non ad service.

Same company that's making that abysmal "Halo" show, so it makes sense
It's like trying to break into Fort Knox for me to just watch soccer

I’ve had Paramount+ since its inception, and CBS All Access before that. And ive never had a problem with it.
I do have the ad free version so maybe the issue is with the ad service.

Apparently you get Paramount+ with a Showtime sub on cox cable now but when I go to the paramount+ app they don't have cox as one of the cable providers to log in through.

I use firestick and have found by going to applications, force stop and clear cache on paramount the show works.
Not a permanent fix but I can get through an episode without restarting after a commercial.
Search shows many have problems and Pplus is aware but not doing anything to improve.

This is what I have to do. I’ve had it on multiple fire TVs and Roku apps, and it’s a steaming pile of shite on all of them

My life wrapped up in one sentence

I have both Roku and Amazon Fire devices in my house, and the Paramount+ app is a giant piece of shite on both platforms.

I’ll spare most of the rant but I got charged for an annual sub when I signed up for a monthly to watch the 2022 SEC champ game. I could never access the service, had to watch with an antenna and they couldn’t find my account to help me. I finally gave up since I had already wasted more time than what I was charged.
It renewed automatically last month and it took me weeks to simply cancel the account, and they refused to refund me even though I sent them a message to cancel the day it renewed. I did get the most recent charge refunded after I reminded them I still couldn’t access the account, and provided the monthly receipt from 2022.
Yes I am still mad.

I don't think that I've ever had a problem with it. Netflix and HBO Max on the other hand...

If you have a subscription, Hulu should have all of the Frasier episodes.
I just finished a Frasier first time watch (loved it) over the past few months. I'm re-watching Cheers on Hulu, but they only have the first 4 seasons. Looks like Paramount+ is the only streaming option, so crossing my fingers for when I subscribe for ~2 months to finish it up.

That is universal now.

The worst streaming app is Max and it's not particularly close.

Never had an issue with it as an add-on channel with Prime. Never had an issue with any channel on Prime.
Now Hulu...
Where do I begin?

I learned after Mad Men that if you're going to binge a show, the amount of hours saved by not watching ads is well worth whatever you have to pay.

We're getting it free through Walmart +. I looked into upgrading it but it doesn't appear to be an option with our plan.
