Seems like a major missing piece. Kind of like Ghost taking a sabbatical.

Between NK not going solo vs Jon and the WW generals not doing shite they showed themselves to be cowardly AF.

They should’ve been storming the walls or freezing out the fire pits

They didnt have to. Why would you show your one weakness when you have the undead fighting for you?

Ghost died in the charge. Just like ever other direwolf that took on the dead

WWs were intelligently held back because killing one would destroy a large oart of the dead infantry.

Dany and Jon were supposed to kill the WWs but Dany went rogue

I find it interesting that those two both have a propensity for going rogue. Will that lead to their downfall in "The Last War"?

ETA: did not see the promo with Ghost in it...

I agree that the episode missed out on some heroes vs WW in 1 on 1 combat opportunities.

With that said, they knew that they were actually the most vulnerable part of the army. Why do you think they stood back and had the snow and clouds cover them from the dragons?

they're both horrible field generals as the past couple of seasons have shown... good thing plot armor has saved them from their terrible decision making because they should both be dead

who tf thought a cavalry charge into the pitch black night against an unknown foe was a great idea?

Wasn't Ghost the first surviving entity to run back to Winterfell after the charge?

That makes sense except they totally did that at the end and lost because if it. The night king could have just been chilling anywhere nearby and they win.

Because DandD are terrible story tellers. It is that simple. They rely on cliches and tropes to tell a story, and it has been clear since they have surpassed the books. It's all a beautiful mess now.

He didn't die.

The real wolf used for ghost died so it costs too much to cgi him running back.

This really bothered me. They should have had a few kills and then we see a division of dead fall again. Instead they just didn't do a single thing, other than one feeling Arya's movement and reacting too late.
The wolf was shown for one second. I guess it died.
I liked the episode, but there were things I didn't like about how the story unfolded.
I had lady Mormont in my deadpool, I was glad to see her die a warriors death. House Mormont was wiped out in the battle though. The Calvary was wasted.

So Dany has one Dragon, 15 Unsullied, no Dothraki and now has to fight Cersi.
Time to call in Daario?

I mean didnt the last episode explain to you that the NK was going to come for Bran and the plan was to use Bran as a means to get the NK to show himself?

Why would the night king even go into battle?

Exactly, you can't use the whole they didn't want to expose themselves when the NK and WWs could of just chilled hidden somewhere til everyone but Bran was dead if he really wanted Bran.

He's bound to a god damn wheelchair, he's not going anywhere.

They shatter when touched with Valerian steel.

Arguably the most fragile people out there with the number of v-swords in the battle.
