Why does GOT have to end so quickly because D&D are ready to leave?

Are they the only one allowed to run the show? HBO obviously wants more Westeros content with the spinoff, so why end GOT so quickly?

Or is the cast ready to quit too?

The show desperately needed a 9th season to avoid the rush of 7&8.

The cast gets more expensive very year, and running out of books probably didn't help things.

the story is wrapping up. this is what this looks like. it feels so rushed half the audience is bitching about how long it's taking to get to the fight

It’s time to end it.

“Walking Dead” changed showrunners and it did irreparable damage.

They may be very tired of it at this point.

They very much have made Tyrion and Jamie less blonde as their ties to House Lannister get strained.

I am Sorta annoyed that they have rushed a few things. They could do 8 episodes if they wanted. It’s their show.

It’s time for it to end. Great shows don’t drag on for 15 seasons. 5-8 is perfect in my opinion.

We have 4 more episodes left of one of the greatest shows ever and I can’t wait to see how it ends.

They ran out of fanfic to write. Heck they didnt have enough materials to fill up two FULL seasons.

Did you consider the legit possibility that beating the White Walkers isn’t the end of the story?

The huge apocalyptic battle likely takes place in the next episode, possibly two.

Past that, you still have 3-4 episodes left to go that will involve every killing everyone now that winter is likely over and we’re looking toward the future.

If the unthinkable happens and every major character at Winterfell survives the next episode, how many lingering plot lines still have to be resolved before the end of the season?

It needs to end. Nothing worse than a show dragging on just to keep the money coming in. Totally destroys a good show

Yep. Its like a great coach who stays one or two seasons longer then he should have. You want to go out on top and not be eased out the door.

I remember an interview they did a few years back. They had always planned on GoT being a 73-77hr story. They are within their plan with this season.

They’re tired of the story because there aren’t enough minorities and women in powerful roles
