ain't even gonna trip...couldn't understand shite about 1 or 2, and 3 was easier to follow bc u knew anakin was gonna go AWOL.

'NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!' is the highlight of the prequels.

Hopefully when Lucas dies they will reboot the prequel trilogy and leave the originals alone. Only a pipe dream I guess

They could do that now provided there are no restrictions in the sale to Disney. I'd prefer if they restored the originals and put out a press release saying as far as canon is concerned, the prequels never happened

But we know they can never be undone

And obi wan looks back on the good old days. What good old days? What fond memories could he possibly have after they showed us the prequels?

If Lucas didn't sell, do you think he would have added to the prequels when technology improved 10 years from now?

I will never understand the hate. I like the originals, but I love the prequels more. They are mo massie in scope, more characters and aliens, less plot holes, better effects and the story isnt black and white,. its more complex, i love how they incorporate all the politics of the galactic senate. return of the jedi isnt that great...

Disagree.

I'd say that Revenge of the Sith is the second best of the entire saga.

I will admit that I first saw Star Wars in 97 as a ten year old during the re-release and TPM as a 12 year old so my feelings of the film is obviously biased. I guess I will see what the old school fans felt when the new films come out. I feel if Jar Jar was taken out, a few lines were reworded, and Anakin was recast, TPM would have been flawless. I still hate AOTC though. I loved it when I first saw it as a 15 year old but it does not hold up upon review. ROTS is still my 3rd favorite Star Wars film.

Like OML said, these should be kid friendly movies but some of the shite in episode 1 is absurd. If it was rebooted and episode 1 was a teenage Anakin and episode 2 and 3 were adult Anakin then it could have been better. Having said that, the lightsaber battle in episode 1 is my favorite of the series

WTF is going on in here. First people are saying they like the prequels, then a respected poster likes sith better than Jedi. Then some a-hole has the nerve to give a shitty reason why the prequels are better than the original trilogy, now another semi respected poster says sith is better than I assume the original (empire is clearly the best, so I know it's not that)

They are all awful movies and the 3rd isn't much better than the 2nd one. I will say that phantom has the most potential of the 3 movies. It introduces what could be a cool character (Darth maul) what looked like a cool place (naboo, but no people, no sets, we're just treated to shots of the whole city/planet) it doesn't try and rely on imagery from the original trilogy (Lucas doesn't steal from himself or kershner) and it wasn't a story revolving around whiny anakin who I completely hate.

THIS.

Either y'all are trolling, under the age of 20, or taking crazy pills.

The prequels are some of the worst shite ever captured on film. Watch the Red Letter Media Plinkett Reviews with an open mind and then come back and tell me you honestly disagree with his reviews. Tell me 5 good things about the movie without saying "special effects" or "Action".

These movies are steaming piles of shite. Add more steam to the pile because of their heritage and what SHOULD have been.

This pisses me off too. The serious lack of story in the movie behind Anakin going from screwing Natalie Portman to murdering children was an Emo bitches wet dream.

Younglings. You can murder children as long as you don't say "murder children"

Watch the Red Letter Media Plinkett Reviews

Watched all of them yesterday. Where I kind of "enjoyed" Sith when I first watched it, I realize now that I was just glad that it was over. I just completely ignored the "Nooooooo!".

I've never felt a tinge of desire to re-watch any of the prequels. They weren't good films. They weren't directed well. They weren't scripted well. The Plinkett stuff helped me understand with the behind-the-scenes stuff.

It also helped me put into words the ways in which the films were unsatisfactory. The best things about the films were the things left out and therefore not ruined - Han and the Millenium Falcon.
