Who's Watching St. Denis Medical - Similar to The Office. NBC / Netflix

I'm surprised there is no thread on this. I was pretty skeptical when I heard about this show, but it's basically a sequel in spirit to The Office. It feels even more so than The Paper, which actually is a sequel. It's basically The Office if the characters were all hospital staff.
At times, it does feel like they are leaning in a little too hard on emulating The Office, but honestly, I'm fine with it. The writer, Justin Spitzer, wrote for The Office for 7 seasons, so obviously, it's going to have a similar feel. The cast is great too.
The lead is Wendi McLendon-Covey, who plays the Michael Scott type character. You might remember her from Reno 911. She pulls it off.
David Alan Grier, who I have not seen in anything in forever, is great in it.
There's a Jim / Pam sort of dynamic going on between a couple cast members.
If you are nostalgic for The Office type of sitcom, give this show a watch. You can see the first season on Netflix, and the second season is on Peacock right now.

I watched the first season. It was fine. I think it would need an overhaul similar to Parks and Rec after the first season. Add some new characters that are more interesting and change up some of the existing ones. As it is now (or at least in the first season), there just wasn't too much that is memorable.

It's one of those shows that's good enough. Nothing ground breaking, but very watchable compared to a lot of the crap passing for TV these days.

I wanted to like it. Never grabbed me.
Better than that Abbot show, but that's a low bar

The DMV show isn't bad
Would be better if it focused on Tim Meadows. Dude is one of the most underappreciated comedy actors today

I have been skeptical, but will probably give it a try.
Not a role I would expect him to play, but I liked him in Joe Pickett

Decent enough show that is still trying to find its groove, there have been some funny moments.

We've watched it since the beginning and enjoy it. It may be the only Network show we watch these days.

I watch it, Reggie Dinkins, and Ghosts. None of them are exceptional but I can watch all three and not be angry.

I've watched it since day one and love it. It isn't amazing or anything, but it is consistently solid though.
My biggest gripe with it is that I basically hate the "main" character (main nurse), Alex. This chick:
Everyone else is solid though. Matt is awesome. Bruce has grown on me. Joyce is a tryhard, but it works fine enough. Serena kinda sucks, and I don't like that Matt likes her. But I get it and I'm glad they finally rolled with that. Val is okay (she is the Hawaiian chick from the Superstore show). Some of the ancillary characters are solid too.
But it's a typical Spitzer type of comedy with similar writing obviously. I really like it a lot.

Overall, it's entertaining enough. Keeps the ADHD at bay, so there is that. Still blows my mind somewhat that Bruce is Kano in the new Mortal Kombat movies.

He was really funny as the Pharmacist on Superstore.
It's pretty good. Glad it got a second season. I also like Animal Control on Fox, it's very cute and funny and Joel McHale is great on there.
Sitcoms have all but died, so I really want to support the few decent ones left. Because I only like to watch funny stuff when I eat and when I get home from work a lot of times and I've watched It's Always Sunny, the Office, the League, What We Do in the Shadows so many times and they get old.
