I think there is no doubt of the following:

Norman Bates from Psycho
Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Michael Myers from Halloween
Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th
Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare on Elm Street

I suppose you could also group Chucky from Child's Play and Ghostface from Scream in with these, however the latter character is played by someone different in each film.

Myers
Vorhees
Freddy

I don't rate Leatherface as a slasher, because there is only one TCM. I feel similarly towards Bates.

Freddy for me. He was always my favorite/feared. Never wanted to sleep as a child. Well, maybe not “never”

Myers for sure. Freddy and Voorhees not far behind. Ghostface not far behind them.

Could have been Lesley Vernon...but he didn't do enough cardio.

Behind the Mask is such a great under the radar movie. It really should be more well known in the horror community, especially around Halloween season. I love Scott Wilson's character, just adds to the hilariousness of it all.

Nobody has mentioned this guy so I’ll go ahead and offer up

ETA: aside from a single film, I’d go with Freddy and Micheal.

These, nobody/nothing else is close.

Better question is to rank these in order.

Why are we forgetting about Diane Keaton in the Woody Allen horror trilogy?
