I mean Rick was a POS murderer, Gaitok was literally just doing his job. He may have had the skill to shoot him in the leg or something I guess but his job was to take him down, so he did. Rick also wanted to die and purposefully walked off like that so he would be shot. It's not like he did this great injustice to an honorable man who made an honest mistake.

I'd bet the farm that he had friction with Parker Posey. Everything I've seen her in outside of a role she plays leads me to think she is a huge C in real life.

I mean her teeth are insane. There’s no way this show is the first time she’s noticed. It’s fine if that’s what makes her unique or whatever but don’t be shocked when people talk about it.

i couldnt deal with those teeth my whole life, but id love to see those fun bags every night for a while

I think there might have a been shot where she was on her phone just looking out the hotel room window. But it was just part of a montage or something.

JW actually confirmed this a few days ago.

We probably agree on a lot of things, but man you are a real a-hole in this thread.
We get it. You hated the season and have nothing to discuss, so why do you keep bleeding all over the fricking thread?
Not to mention you’re obviously an alter and a very conspicuous one at that.

Great question. Had the same thought and have been wondering why this really has not been touched on at all by anyone else in this thread when they are listing their gripes with this season.

Her accent was one of the best parts of this season
Hard disagree. It wasn't as bad as Jason Isaacs, which rivals one of the worst accents in the history of television. "Na Locholan, yu cant have alcohuul, yur drinkin a coouke." but it was bad. It blew up on instagram/tik tok of her on a talk show and her saying how to do the voice with the "Buuudism, Tsuuuunami, Piiper nooo, noooo!" and people thought it was hilarious and for some reason just deemed it a good accent because it was funny. I'm sure there are a few people that sound like that, but it was not at all a fitting accent. Both of them took me out of many scenes because of it.

Rick threatened to kill his dad or beat him up, and ended up assaulting him anyway by pushing over his chair with him in it. I’d be pretty pissed about that too.
Then Dad shows up at the hotel he owns where his snot nose bastard happens to be staying. He tells him his mom was no saint (albeit in the form of a huge insult to her) and to get off of his property.
I thought Dad’s response was a perfectly reasonable one. It’s Rick that loses his marbles over the fact that he’ll never get closure regarding his daddy issues.

Because Posey exaggerated it on purpose. Viewers caught on to what she was doing and realized that it was for comedic effect.

More reasonable than letting Rick know that he's actually his dad and didn't kill his dad? A whole lot of tragedy could have been avoided if he does that instead of calling Rick's mom a lying, drunk slut

After Rick showed up to his house under false pretenses and threatened to kill him? What are you smoking?
It’s all on Rick. He initiated the scheme. Why didn’t Rick explain who he was, why he was there, and that he just wanted to talk to him to get the whole story?
Why doesn’t Rick have any agency over the result?

I'm more interested as to how she became named Aimee Lou.. I mean with a name like that I would've thought she was raised in the sticks of Alabama. Not a very British name in my opinion.

Nothing, I'm at work

Of course, Rick shoulders most of the blame. Scott Glenn's dealing with the situation back at the White Lotus was not the most reasonable course of action. Who could have ever thought that a guy who thinks you killed his dad and broke into your house to assault you would act out violently after insulting his mother? A simple, "Hey, you don't know all of the facts, let's talk after lunch" could have gone a long way in avoiding the shootings.

Right, it's comically bad. But people are trying to act like it's a good accent, which it's not. Good and funny are separate debates.

Ironically, I know an older Southern woman of similar status that sounds just like her. Women like that can definitely project that accent for all kinds of reasons. It’s damn near a caricature of itself.
And it’s worth noting Posey lived in Louisiana and Mississippi for a good chunk of time growing up. I think she drew from some of that.

Ricks entire narrative was forced in my opinion. The outcome obviously predetermined but the story fell flat and left me disappointed
none of it seemed earned or believable
