Did you need more explosions in season 3

Do you need more excuses to try and convince everyone season 3 was good?
There was more gun shots/explosions as you say in season 3 than season 1 and 2. You're making it worse for yourself with these lazy arguments. I've already said I enjoyed seasons 1 and 2.

Of all the endings I think Gaitok's was probably the best. Called him a crappy security guard (which he was) and was being a giant puss (which he was) but it was a very realistic and legitimate internal/spiritual struggle he was having. Being Buddhist and wanting peace and to not harm anyone is an honorable thing, but you picked the wrong job for that. That struggle of pulling the trigger was a great scene.
I didn't like the Gaitok ending. He shot and killed an unarmed man in the back. The unarmed man was clearly carrying an injured/dead woman in his arms. We know from an earlier episode that he was a good shot. He could have easily shot him in the legs to prevent him from leaving. In one minute, he is stating how he can do no harm to anyone due to his beliefs. At the end, he kills a man when he didn't have to. He could have injured him and detained him. But I guess this shows that no character on White Lotus is a truly good person.

When 90% of people on this thread have to use this line every time to hype up season 3. It pretty much proves my point for me
It's not a "hype", it's just stating a basic preference and observation that plenty of others share.
Sorry you like shitty television I guess?

what is your goal here?
My goal in the S3 White Lotus thread is to discuss the show with others. I agree with some, I disagree with others but we have a good dialogue.
You seem to be dug into "If you don't hate this show then I must shout your opinion down."

o keep downvoting without bringing any substance to this thread?
I haven't downvoted you once. the downvotes from others are likely for your demeanor and dismissive nature, not for your opinion that you don't like the show. A reasonable person comes to the thread makes a post or 2 about why they disliked it and moves on. You, on the other hand, saw a post or 2 taking a jab at Taylor Sheridan and have gone full Karen over it.

Because that’s what got the reactions from everyone

He brought up Taylor Sheridan unprompted and a few (myself included) made jokes about how Taylor Sheridan's version would have looked and like 2 days later he decided it was a hill worth dying on. Most (myself included) completely moved past the Taylor Sheridan thing and went back to discussing the show almost immediately. We are now here because Dr. Dickwad won't accept that people might have a differring opinion than his. No one (to my knowledge) has even tried to convince him to like WL S3, we just won't agree that it was objectively terrible because we don't think it was.

Jason Isaacs on his experience filming ‘THE WHITE LOTUS’
“It was a theatre camp, but to some extent an open prison camp: you couldn’t avoid one other. There are tensions and difficulties, I don’t know if they spilled from on screen to off-screen, or if it would have happened anyway. There were alliances that formed and broke, romances that formed and broke, friendships that formed and broke. It’s a long period of time for people to be away from their family with an open bar and all the wildness being in Thailand allows.
I can’t pretend I wasn’t involved in some off-screen drama... there were times when things were not quite so fond. I was in some ways used to it, but within a couple of weeks my wife [who was with him on set and used to be an actor] went, ‘Some of these people are fricking mad.’ I said, ‘No, it’s just a bunch of actors away on location, love. You’ve forgotten what it’s like.’”

Because reading the 1923 threads and season 3 white lotus thread it’s so fricking obvious the bias and you’re so blinded you can’t even see it.
Even IMDB reviews said white lotus season 3 was average television.

Biased how? People in this thread had some issues with the season but overall seemed to enjoy it. I'm sorry that those who frequent the 1923 threads (I am not among them) don't have the same opinion of that show.
If it makes you feel any better, I got frustrated with the HOTD thread for the same reason. It was just people complaining about every detail. Here's the thing: once a creator makes a show that is universally enjoyed (GOT and Yellowstone) and then makes spin offs, the fans will always feel like it falls short of the original.

He is a security guard at a hotel and the guy he shot just a few moments earlier just killed the hotel owner and two other security guards. Let's not act like it wasn't justified. Also no reason to think that he wasn't still armed.

I mean I feel like you kind of missed the point of why it was so difficult for him. The whole season had been leading up to that one moment. On one hand you had his morality which was important to him but literally the whole season you had people telling him to man up. His superior, the bodyguards, Mook especially and then the hotel owner at the end. In the heat of the moment he chose the pressure from the outside over his beliefs. He got his promotion and his braud, but he's going to have to live with what he did.

i think it was difficult for him but, just like Piper, when push comes to shove, he abandoned his beliefs completely. Killed a man when it appears that he had the skill to do otherwise.
