Has anyone else watched this yet? It’s about the Central Park 5 that we’re falsely accused of assaulting and raping a female jogger in Central Park.

It’s a really great mini series, and I thought the actor that played Korey Wise did an incredible job. It’s a great watch.

Added it to my list over the weekend, but I haven't had time to watch it yet.

I watched the first episode and enjoyed it.

Those interrogations were intense. Those cops were violating the frick out of those children's rights.

Yeah it was really hard to watch. I finished the series last night, and really enjoyed the whole thing. It just goes to show you how messed up our justice system is that 5 boys can get convicted despite no evidence.

Watched the last episode last night. Jharrel Jerome did an excellent job. I don't know how accurate his on-screen portrayal was to Korey Wise's real life experiences through the prison system but it was gut-wrenching to see the way his life turned out. Linda Fairstein can burn in hell as far as I'm concerned.

On episode 3. Pretty good first two episodes.

Although they seem to skip their fight to get out/their time in jail. Maybe they get to it but in episode three some of them are just suddenly being released.

The kids and the adults for that matter did a great job with those interrogation scenes.

Knowing this board, its gonna happen. Hopefully people will be able to keep the politics out of it, but I doubt it.

Here is a documentary on the case from 20/20 when the serial rapist confessed to doing it 13 years later
I saw the series is on Netflix and I can’t wait to watch it.

The trailer was intense.

I'm not sure how much more bad news TV I can take after Chernobyl.

The only episode that captivated me was the last one- it was very well done, almost like a movie. The other 3 I found pretty boring. I felt like a lot of it was rushed through.

I hated that one dude's step mom, played by the lady from OITNB. You married the guy (john leguizamo) knowing his son was in prison (rightly or wrongly) for this shite. Why act like an a-hole when he comes home? Whatta bitch.

It's messed up what happened to them, though. The cops just wanted to nail some black kids for it.

That would be my only real complaint after finishing. They could have had another 2 or so episodes to give more in depth information.

I agree, that last episode was fantastic. I might have been a little rushed, but I think the pacing was okay. I agree though, his step mom was awful. I was a little confused as to why he got released after they were exonerated. Wouldn't he still be in prison for selling crack? That part was confusing.

Not to get political on the M/TV board but it didn't help that they were very publicly tarred and feathered by a prominent New Yorker...

Trump at the time did pay for ads that they should get the death penalty

And continued to insist they were guilty until at least 2014..

So this is legit. I didn't trust it cuz I saw it being talked about by some of the typical "everything is racist" crowd. But now I actuallt really wanna check it out.

In his '16 campaign he said he still thought they were guilty.

I just finished it and I feel bad they had to go through that freaked up situation. Watching that as a father if that was my son was tough. They were at the wrong place at the wrong time.
