So did they just decide they’re going to still Moiraine?
I'm guessing they are going with Nynaeve discovering her ability to heal stilling/gentling by doing it to Moiraine instead of Siuan and Leane in the show....who knows???

fan fiction. Rafe Judkins
imagine having a 10million+ budget to puke your shite fan fic of one of the best Fantasy series of all Time
i cant even be mad at the man he bamboozled amazon into letting him do this garbage
all ill say for Episode 8 is LTT is The Dragon Reborn in this version... nope. He's also arrogant, the Dark One is something different and they know the taint will happen?
I gave this a good hard chance hoping it could turn around but no too much has changed and dont give me the bullshite excuse of episode limitations when you spent 3 episodes showing logain and steppin bullshite
The EYE is in Malkier now apparently
Nynaeve is giving Lan TRACKING TIPS
And Min just straight up sees the future now?
Egwene can heal death now lol
Also the A'dam are ball gags makes sense for Rafe.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed that.
What a fricking shitshow of an episode.

Let’s also be sure and leave off one of the more intriguing characters in the green man

Just watched the finale. Holy shite they jumped the fricking shark from the book source material. They took an excellent source material and turned it into shite.

You also apparently don’t die in tellen an rhoid. Rand just stabs himself but comes out fine.

He has the wrong color skin to be on this series apparently.

After marinating on it for a day, I’m out. This series was already just a C for me, this finale took it down to an F.
That cuck Rafe butchered everything. I don’t even want to waste my time listing reasons, but he butchered it. Finale was awful in every way

Damn, I’ve tried to stay pretty positive even with the second rate cinematography, lighting, costumes, etc but my god that finale was dog shite from start to finish.
With the amount of changes in that finale alone I’m not sure how they can call this WOT and not say “loosely based on ideas from WOT”

I’d say RIP the entirety of the source material.

What a Cleveland Steamer this series has evolved into.
On a bright note for the non book readers: reading the books would only make you more confused, as the only thing similar to the books are the characters’ names.
This Amazon adaptation struggled from the beginning and drifted so far from the source material, that it is unwatchable. It’s not even a good story at this point.

This isn't a new thing really. Subverting (destroying the central characters and storylines) is the primary goal. It's not about being good or entertaining

My only hope is that this show takes a Seinfeld/Parks and Rec turn after the first season. Both of those shows became something completely different and better after their first season. So, I will give next season a try with that hope.
Also, I just finished the second book, and I thought the Seanchan were very interesting. So, I was excited to see them teased at the end, even if it looked weird.
But, I agree with everyone else that the show just isn't good. It took season 2 of the Witcher to come out to make me realize how much of a chore WoT is. I get excited when I settle down for a Witcher episode. I was checking my watch in the damn finale of WoT.

They went to extraordinary lengths to wedge diversity from multiple ethnicities into just about every city, hamlet and group. It's not surprising they wouldn't want to show women (especially black women) forced to wear slave collars and trotted around on leashes.

Fun Bunch still in here defending this shite? I didn't watch the finale. The second to the last episode was enough for me.

I was just in the thread on the book board, and he's posting in there. He's not defending it. He's disappointed that it's so mediocre.

I've never "defended it" in the way you are thinking.
I've said repeatedly that I did not like aspects at all, that I enjoyed some aspects especially on second watch, and didn't think it was as bad as people were making it out to be.
Episode 8 was bad. Very very bad.
THe show is mediocre. It isn't as bad as people on here make it out to be, but it isn't good either.
Rafe really was not the right choice for this and made many tactical errors fueled by his own hubris.
They can turn it around but I don't think they will. Its just going to be a mediocre show that fans of the books don't like.

And as I have said, its not mediocre due to production values or anything you melters go on about. The production values are fine, much better than a show like Witcher.
Its the writing and unnecessary book changes.
Many book changes were totally necessary to adapt a 14 book series.
Many were total headscratchers that did nothing but alienate book fans.
Its just a mediocre show that I don't care about that much, and that is the most disappointing part.

We get it you like WoT and want it to be better. You don’t have to go full retard though.
