Every time I see the ABSOLUTELY NO BOOK READERS thread, you're the last poster

Almost time to torcher ourselves with another Pelicans game.

New Hollywood. A single woman in labor can defeat 10 male warriors in between contractions. Dear lord this is bad.

Pretty ridiculous scene with no context .

But Fun Bunch has that context, and he wants us all to know it.

Hot damn I’m blessed not to take things as seriously as you do. I simply like something to watch on a relaxing Friday night.

Sounds like you’re sitting there with a damn notepad!

Bitch about it in the Readers' or Middle Ground thread. You're being a giant douche by bringing that here.

I’ve literally said nothing of substance.

Bitching about the Aiel is peek cringe for this board.

But you are also 100% right.

I'm not a book reader. If my comments are making you stressed- consider, I have no idea about the Aiel or whatever you're referring to, because it's NOT frickING EXPLAINED in the show.

All they give us, is this magnificently fierce pregnant woman doing Matrix moves on a bunch of well-armed warriors. That's all they felt necessary to show. If it's not a woke Mary Sue moment in all it's glory, they sure as hell missed giving us any reasonable explanation.

And to be fair, you CAN have a plausible scene like that, but the show needs to earn that first. It flat-out hasn't.

Not a book reader but the Aeil have been mentioned as bad asses and it’s been said that Rand must be one because of his red hair. I believe all of that came from the bard in that town Mat and Rand went to.

That’s not the best set up. This show clearly needed more episodes. LOTR better be great because it’s sucking up all of the Amazon money.

Watching this show makes me appreciate the overall debacle I consider Witcher season 2. Thank you Amazon.

People didn’t like the Witcher’s second season?

This show was pretty bad. That said, it felt like a show that could’ve been good with a couple more episodes and some polish.

Edit: outside of some casting choices I don’t get the woke complaints

This show makes its contemporaries look like MacBeth (looking at you Witcher s2 and your cringe use of “fire fricker.”) It doesn’t have the acting, visuals, cinematography, or a load of other shot those shows have to mask faults either. Is this show expected to move forward?

I actually enjoyed the very last episode. Most of the first season felt like I was watching some CW quality work but the last episode was pretty solid.

not to fight with anyone on a Christmas, but here's the deal- I didn't randomly come across Wheel of Time while channel-surfing. It's a series I've anticipated awhile. You take something like that and you put a whole different set of expectations on it. It's not supposed to be filler.

Can someone explain to a non book reader (myself) what is in the box that the dark friends took?

Also who were the people on the ships at the end?

Horn of Valere. Calls forth the past heros that binded their lives to whoever blows it. Ie. An army of badass warriors that cannot be killed by mortal men.

The ships were the Seachan. Decendants of Arthur Hawkwing that sailed back to reconquer the land. They use channelers as weapons and control them with Adam, a type of binding necklace terangreal or magical item.
