no brokeback mountain?

all seriousness aside, Sophie’s Choice and The Boy in Striped Pajamas get my vote ... never saw Still Alice because I refuse to ponder that situation just yet ...

Beaches

It's a cancer movie where a mother asks her frined to take care of her child when she dies. Kills me.

I can't believe I forgot about this one. I saw it in 1983 when I was stationed at NAS Keflavik, Iceland. I remember that it left me feeling really depressed for a couple of days, at least.

Haven’t seen this one yet. Fluke. 1995. That ending scene is brutal with the wife. I can’t imagine anyone watching that and not tearing up

That’s a good one. I also remember bawling at an old Andy Rooney made for TV movie - Bill. He was retarded and went through all kinds of heartache - even though it had a happy ending i think.

Old Yellar and Where the Red Fern Grows of course. Hell - Charlottes Web is so sad I don’t want to watch with the kids. I’m a sucker when something happens to animals even if it’s a cartoon.

Million Dollar Baby. Saw this in the movie theater not knowing anything about it. 1st hour I thought it was just a funny boxing movie, then it took a turn...

Yeah, that one was rough. Very depressing ending.

Michael Keaton is underrated as an actor.

Yes, My Life is the correct answer. Especially for those of us who have seen loved ones suffer with a terminal illness for weeks or months.

I’m really glad someone else was thinking about this movie. I first watched it when I was about Ricky Schroeder’s age. I still think back to the day that I saw this movie and the uneasy feeling that I had watching it.

Don't watch Hachi, that one got me far worse than those two.

Yep. The last part is basically if you extended the scene from Jurassic Bark out to 30 gut wrenching minutes.
