Spin Me Round (2022) currently on Hulu and AMC+. It stars Alison Brie (Annie from Community), Aubrey Plaza (April from Parks and Rec), Molly Shannon, Tricia Helfer, Zach Woods (Gabe from the Office, Jared on Silicon Valley), Debby Ryan, Fred Armisen, Tim Heidecker, and it was written and directed by Aubrey Plaza's husband Jeff Baena (who also wrote and directed Horse Girl starring Alison Brie as well, but Horse Girl is much much weirder and should only be watched by those who enjoy films as art projects.) Spin Me Round is hilarious and like the Menu, pokes a lot of fun at the foodie culture. It is mostly high brow humor here, not too much vulgar humor but Aubrey Plaza has never been more fun in anything quite like this and she's always seemed fun and cool.

I took your advice and watched this movie. Man it’s really bad, what a horrible horrible recommendation, shame on you.

You do get to see Aubrey Plaza and Allison Brie make out but it’s shitty lighting and probably not really them. Also it’s the last time you see Aubrey Plaza because she literally disappears from the movie with no character resolution

Holy Crap...I thought Lorenzo Lamas was Walten Goggins for a second there.

I really liked the first one so Idk why it took me so long to get around to this one.

Sorcerer was a valiant effort that didn’t get much traction in the market

Watched Blood Diamond a week ago. One of my favorites from Leo Dicaprio. Also, I love Jennifer Connelly

I was shocked that I liked Godzila minus one. Some really good storytelling.

I've watched some films over the past few days that I'd never seen before based on some recs here: The Holdovers, 3:10 to Yuma, The Searchers, Snack Shack, & Late Night With The Devil. 3:10 to Yuma was my favorite of the bunch. Still on my list: Hostiles, Jeremiah Johnson, The Wild Bunch, Open Range, Appaloosa, and I'll add Blood Diamond.

Watched Incendies last night. Great movie but absolutely brutal in parts. Had seen the warnings of go in blind watching it so was expecting a twist and assumed it was going to go the direction it did. Great acting all around.

Also the bus scene
