The Sixth Sense and other similar movies in which there is a major reveal at the end of the movie.

The Butterfly effect wouldn't have been my pick except for the last 20 minutes. Tough ending.

I have to disagree. These are the best movies to rewatch. Watching movies like The Prestige and Sixth Sense and while knowing the twists are like watching different movies. I understand where you are coming from though because I would love some selective amnesia to watch them for the first time again.

Ever seen the directors cut?

Terms of Endearment. Way far from being the kind of movie I'd normally even glimpse, but somehow stumbled across it not long after it made it to cable and actually really enjoyed it.
Written by Larry McMurtry, who also wrote "Lonesome Dove". He was a very prolific author, and several of his books made it onto the screen, including "Horseman, Pass By" (as "Hud") and "The Last Picture Show".

Nope. Is it much different than the original?

I think it was going to get an X rating so they had to change it.

The version I saw was Kutcher hanging himself with his own umbilical cord in the womb. Was that the directors cut?

Yeah....
I had read you can't show abortion in movies, even a mythical self-inflicted one. The MPAA would have none of that.

The Road was the single worst book I’ve ever read. I can’t imagine how horrible the film must be

Probably the 1984 version of The Razor's Edge. I thought that they did a great job of bringing Somerset Maugham's novel, and Bill Murray was exceptional. But the story is such a depressing one that it is hard to watch again. It didn't get great reviews...but I still hold that they were wrong because they weren't expecting a serious role from Murray.
