I haven't seen all of those but Rounders and 21 are my favorite of those gambling movies. I don't consider Casino and Oceans 11 the same thing. Two for the money is just ok to me

The Score with Ed Norton, De Niro and Brando kind of qualifies in this as well. It's similar in a way to Oceans 11 in the plots etc.

I mean Tombstone is a top ten all time movie and there was a lot of gambling in it...I nominate Tombstone

Was coming to post Shade as well….

Jamie Foxx-“Oh well.. I only had 4 girlfriends and they were all 10’s….

“And everyone of them was fricking a guy named Jack”

But for me the answer here is Rounders

Not sure about "best," but I like Maverick and I would throw Diggstown in as well.

Lol agreed. That's like putting Casino Royale up on the list

I was thinking it was like calling Deliverance an adventure movie

Footloose. It was the ultimate gamble.

Remember the chicken scene on the tractors? And Sean Penn's brother being skinny? The stakes were high. A lot to be won and lost. Also, all the angst that Kevin Bacon had when he danced early in the movie? I think he smokes a cig too. That is high stakes no doubt.

Plus it was filmed in Utah.

Funny things is, I knew people like so many of those characters in that movie from the people I know at the Fair Grounds in N.O.

My father-in-law haunted Louisiana Downs for years and loved this movie. His favorite scene was Buster Poindexter turning to the crowd and screaming, "HE PISSED IT ALL AWAY!"

Is Color of Money a gambling movie? That and Sting would be my additions.

Bookies wasn’t bad for a college kid movie. However, Rounders out the list.

Oceans 11 is my favorite movie on that list, but it’s in no way a gambling movie.
