Carrie
(the very very very end)
...and Wizard of Oz of course, the Witch (still don't like her)
And...Dark Night of the Scarecrow (that movie was all sorts of messed up) - so Scarecrows and Witches.

Child's Play 2.
I had just gotten home from church when I was like 5, I turn on the TV and USA Network was on and BOOM, dead body drops from the ceiling.
I got over it when I actually watched the movies with it's dark humor, but I had more nightmares than I could count revolving around Chucky. It was a mystique spread in elementary school by kids who actually never saw the movie, but pretended they did.

Poltergeist scared me
Wizard of Oz is creepy
But IT ruined clowns for a generation. The clown industry will never recover.

It took me years, not exaggerating, to watch the guy tear his face off in Poltergeist.
That movie came out when I was 9 and I had a lot of the same toys.
I was ok with the movie until that guy lays the steak on the counter and it moves across the counter on its own and he spits out the chicken leg, which was crawling with maggots.
I couldn't watch it for years.
The other one was when the Alien pops out of Kane in Alien. Took me years to watch that part.

The old Sherlock Holmes movie hound of the baskervilles. It's not even that scary but I've never been fond of black dogs in the dark since then. and the TV show did an episode on the same story and that scared me and I'm in college

Oh, not a movie but an episode of "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" from the 1980s called "Final Escape".
A rich woman is in prison and she plans to escape. She gets the prisoner grave digger/mortician guy to agree to sneak her into the casket of the next prisoner who dies. She will be buried with them and the grave digger will dig her up and she will pay him a bunch of money.
Another inmate dies, she sneaks into the casket. She is buried alive and waiting to be dug up. She starts to panic, thinking it is taking too long. She has one match with her and she lights it to see who she is buried with. She lifts the match up to see the corpse's face - AND IT'S THE GRAVE DIGGER!
The camera pulls up and pans out from the grave so the viewer is seeing an aerial view of her grave and the prison cemetery as you hear the rich woman's muffled screams.
Freaked me the frick out.

Oh I've been waiting for a thread like this.. I was 9 years old in 2003 when the Texas Chainsaw remake came out and I was so curious to see it because I read all about it online before it. I never got to see it in theaters, when it came out on DVD my dad got it one night and we watched it late at night, well he falls asleep halfway through the movie leaving me awake to watch the second half by myself and I was literally traumatized after, I went to my room with the lights on and door locked until I fell asleep
After watching it for like 6 months anytime I'd see the commercial for the dvd, or if it was ever on tv it'd scare the frick out of me and I'd get butterflies. This shite haunted my dreams for months. idk what it was about that movie but it disturbed me to a stupid level

Ohh yeah
No hate for puppet master films. They are funny now. Not so much when I was little.
Anybody ever see a movie about a kid who claims there is a monster in his closet. Parents of course don't believe him. He follows a shadow downstairs thinking its the monster and hit it with a baseball bat. Turns out to be his dad. Movie end with dad and son going fishing on something like that. Mom goes to clean boys room and monster comes put and eats her.
That's all I remember from it. I'm 29 and I think it was hbo when I was about 6

Well I grew up with a single mom and she bought me a "My Buddy" the day before my damn sister rents "Child's Play". My mom was furious that I didn't want anything to do with "My Buddy" after that. She made me sleep with that thing. Talk about traumatized!
That and the frickin Excorcist. I won't even let that movie come in my house.

For some reason IT didn't scar me like it did most on here...maybe because I had read the book before I watched it. I will say that is the only book I have ever read that creeped me out.
