Watched 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi in a deployed location in a theater packed with Army soldiers, Navy sailors and Air Force airmen.

You could hear a pin drop as 300 people left the theater.

Get Out.

Mostly because I really wasn’t sure if I liked the movie or not. It was very difficult for me to put my finger on how I felt about it.

Theater experiences - many of the ones listed here. The Mist immediately comes to mind.

At home, Leaving Las Vegas is in a tier by itself. After that, maybe Seeking a Friend for the End of the World.

Messes you up for sure.

Primal Fear and The Sixth Sense both left me speechless the first time I saw them.

The first few that came to mind have already been mentioned. I wanted to add Arlington Road. When the credits started, I was still waiting for them to go back and be like, "Just kidding".

I knew the story, and what happened, but I get the feeling not many did. Or maybe they had heard, but didn’t connect the dots. I was curious as to how they would treat that part of the story.

Not a sound by anyone at the end of the movie as we left the theater.

Just read some of the synopsis, and now I want to watch this immediately.

Avengers: Infinity War is a good one. Even though I knew there was gonna be two movies, I wasn't expecting Thanos to "win." That's the best comic book/superhero movie of all time IMO.

I don't know about "speechless," but movies where the end of the world takes place and actually happens leave me with a weird sort of mood. Stuff like Melancholia, Knowing, etc.

I'll throw out one that left me speechless in a different way than I think the OP is looking for. But I saw United 93 in theaters, and the entire theater full of people quietly walked out of there. It was completely somber and emotionally quiet, but not even in a bad way necessarily. Just in a sort of "respectful" way, if that makes sense.

Grown Ups 2.

With the big fight scene, not many movies just give up trying and do something like that.

Surprised Saving Private Ryan hasn't been listed.

That's the only movie I've been in where the entire theater was still in their seats for a short time after the movie ended. As if everyone had to gather their thoughts before they could get up to leave.
