I would say the following movies scarred me as a kid:

IT
Jaws
Child's Play

I remember crying twice as a child because a movie scared me.

Once was the boy vampire tapping on the window in Salem's Lot.

The other was the female henchman turning into a cyborg in Superman III.

Children of the Corn

And the one I still have issues with when flying the Twilight Zone Nightmare at 20000 feet with William Shatner and that gremlin on the wing.

When they were looking for that baby alligator and she was coming down the stairs!!

And Zelda! How can someone with less than 5 secs of screen time scare the shite of me!

Gremlins for some reason.

Animation: The Rescuers. I hate Madame Medusa to this day.

There was some movie where this kid wakes up one mooring to this alien started invasion by taking over people's bodies by attaching to the back of their neck (iirc) After the climax of the movie, he wakes up and realized he dreamed it all but the aliens are actually invading for real this time I cannot remember what this was called

Yep, that's the one that creeped me out too.

Not a horror movie but Flatliners scared me pretty bad. It wasn't that it was scary though. I think the reason why it shook me up so much was because, at 10 years old, I finally realized my mortality. Not that I thought before that I couldn't die or that I'd live forever. After I saw this movie, I guess I finally realized that one day I was going to die, and my thoughts on "enternity" and the afterlife was too much for 10 year old me to handle.

I saw the original When a Stranger Calls when I was 7 or 8. After that I was terrified every time my parents went out and left me with a babysitter.

Some people my age were slightly traumatized by seeing the first Planet of the Apes film in theaters. Nothing major, but I've met a couple of other people that had the same nightmare after seeing the movie (gorillas searching through your yard or your house for you).

I happened across The Godfather once when I was a good bit too young. It was on Showtime or something.

The Luca Brasi hit was disturbing to 9-10 year old me.

I was coming to post Salem's Lot as well.

To this day, I refuse to have a bed that faces a window.

Pet Sematary

First time I saw it I must have been around 13 or so and my parents were out for the evening so I watched it alone.

The sister Zelda was the worst part. Still gives me the creeps.
