I watched all of the wheel of time first season because I hadn't read the books and just assumed the story/writing would get better. It ended up being what I'd imagine a CW epic show would be. Shitty production values and acting, but at least most CW shows had some cohesion in the writing.
I started Rings of Power since I loved the Silmarillion, and I just punished myself and kept watching. I can't recall watching any series where the writing was so blatantly awful. Like the show literally had scenes that contradicted the immediately prior scene over and over and over again. It's like there were different writers for each scene, and nobody communicated what they had just shot. For the people who watched it, and think it's good, I can't think of anything positive they could be invested in outside of it looking pretty.

The last few seasons of Sons of Anarchy and How I Met Your Mother were pure hate watches. I was so deep in that I made myself see them through to the end.
I don’t do that anymore. When a show starts sucking, I cancel the DVR recording and walk away.

The fifth season of Falling Skies. I only watched it because I was invested in it after the first couple of seasons, which were actually pretty good.

Season 2 of Westworld, though I have to give honorable mention to season 3 as well. Season 2, I sat through, even rewound and rewatched bits, to try and make sense of it as best as I could. I really wanted to make that work, especially after an awesome season 1.
Season 3 I did technically 'watch' I suppose, but mostly I was just fast-forwarding through large swathes of it. I'd given up by that point.

Season 7 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer was complete crap. Season 6 was terrible but had the musical episode to lighten things up. Season 7 was sheer torture.

You shoulda included wheel of time for the trifecta.
It's a much worse show to watch imo.
But I guess maybe it would be better if I was already fond of the material like LOTR or star wars.
I never read the wheel of time books so had nothing invested

I was feeling pretty left out reading this thread. Haven’t seen hardly any of the seasons mentioned. I will quickly drop a show/lose interest. Hell, I forget to finish shows I’m enjoying about half the time.
And there it is. Final season was so bad, I can’t even watch reruns of the others seasons. Literally ruined the show for me.

That hits close to home. Took me 3 months to get back to justified after I enjoyed the hell out of the first 3 seasons.
When I finally finished I was pissed there weren't any more episodes to watch
