Holy shite I'm behind I guess. Had no idea it was done and haven't seen any commercials yet.

He did that movie with Katherine Heigl and that seemed to coincide with his career tailspin.

I thought that show was actually pretty funny.

I just can’t suspend disbelief enough that 90+% of Secret service, knowing of the contingency where a mechanized brigade is the QRF in the event of an assault, would all run out of an armored building straight into machine gun fire.

Yeah, that part was so dumb.

I really haven’t seen him in anything but 300, in which he was, obviously, totally awesome. However, that movie was made to be ridiculously over the top, and his acting was the same, so it really didn’t tell me much about his ability to carry his weight in a more sedate movie.

Every now and then I look back at 300 and marvel at what an incredible oddity that movie is. A ripped Scottish guy plays the king of a band of Greeks against an ultra stylized version of the Persian army complete with mutants and goat people and oh hey Michael fassbender and Cerci are there too and holy shite is that the guy from The Wire playing the sleazy bad Greek? It’s non stop, over the top badassery in a way that doesn’t really have a comparison (Sin City, to an extent, I guess)

Den of Thieves is fricking awesome.
I enjoyed it, but it could have been better if it had either focused more on the robbers, or more of the cops. It tried to be Heat, with a twist, but didn't give us much of the real mastermind's background.

The pics I posted were from a movie where he was playing a hard living, break the rules, cop. He was going through a divorce, while trying to solve a huge caper. I guess they wanted him to look spent. He looked the part.

Edit to add:

I thought The Bounty Hunter (2010) was funny. He and Jennifer Aniston had really good chemistry in it. He was believable in Machine Gun Preacher (2011). I thought it was a pretty good true story.
