Dead people. Well, to be precise, dead people who were really really dumb when they were alive.

Why does it have to be this?

You know what else looks terrible this year: Angry Birds, Alice Through the Looking Glass, The Huntsman, Bridget Jones' Baby, Storks, etc.

None of this has to do with gender.

The same sub-80 IQ'ers who love all the other shitty comedies and prequels/sequels/reboots/spinoffs.

I got my answer last night. Was out with a big group and all the women said that looked hilarious, and the men thought they lost their mind. So the bimbo masses, which is historical because I doubt they'll go see it.

Kate McKinnon is the only reason I would go see this movie. She seems hilarious in the trailers.

Kate McKinnon is talented and will have a career outside of this movie. I haven't seen her all that promoted to be honest, and it seems as if all the promotion is going towards McKinnon's awful costar Leslie Jones.

FIFY.

That wig bit with her in the first trailer was horrible. They are forcing the comedy way too much. Thing with the original film is that a good majority of the best bits in that movie were ad libbed.

Younger audience who has never seen the originals.

Like it or not (and I REALLY don't like it), a shite load of people will watch this movie.

Not sure how large the opening audience will be but the drop off will likely be at 75% after the first week barring it being significantly better than the trailers or buzz say it will be.

Making back its $150m budget may happen with international grosses, streaming, and pay cable deals but it will still be a huge net negative between what they split with theaters as well as the costs of prints and advertising.

From what I've seen of this movie, it looks almost like a bad parody of the first Ghostbusters. Like Hot Shots! to Top Gun, except that was a good one.
