To anyone over 30, I'd say that Phillipe is "famous famous."

bump that age up to 35 or so and i agree.

i'm a little bit under 30 but i think you'd have to be pretty into movies to call him "famous famous". most 30 year olds aren't going to remember him and reese witherspoon.

You're likely correct.

Ya dead wrong.

Legally Blonde and Sweet Home Alabama keep her in the popular culture consciousness in perpetuity.

I wasn't a big fan of Oprah when I did her show in 1995.

Mila Kunis is barely a 6 IRL.

Jack Roush is cool.

Rascal flatts are pedos.

Lived in Hendersonville, TN in the early/mid 80s. My mom's younger brother was a session player, so I got to meet some of the country artists who lived there. The Oak Ridge Boys, Ricky Skaggs, the guys from Alabama and Charlie Daniels were all really nice.

Growing up we had a grocery store. Mom met rod Stewart and Charlie Daniels. Rod sang to her because she had no idea who he was. He just laughed and she said he was very nice.

When I was about 14, Alabama showed up to our store in their tour bus and wanted to go fishing. They were really great guys especially to put up with me. I was into rock and didn't follow country music. Was just thinking about them the day hearing one of them died.

I met Jamie Hector a few years ago in Canal Place. He is the guy who plays Marlo in the Wire. Super nice. I told him I loved his work and he was genuinely appreciative.

Ted Kennedy blew cigar smoke at me in the US capitol elevator, so I guess he qualifies as jerk

On the other end of the scale, rode in the senate subway car with John Glenn. Could not have been nicer. genuine cool guy and hero.

I've met Kevin Costner a few times due to a buddy of mine who dealt with him in the Deepwater Horizon. He can be a little hard to rake at first, but after a few minutes he's actually a very nice guy.....very serious but a nice guy.

My grandfather always used to refer to his old friend Phil in New Jersey. At his funeral,Phil introduces himself to me and my brothers and says, " Hi Phil Rizzuto." It was Phil Rizzuto from the NY Yankees.

Nah, Costner. It was during the actual spill. He had invested in an oil filtering business that separated oil from water in clean ups.

He's a very smart guy and a shrewd businessman....he's worth a lot of money....somewhere around 250 -300 million. Movies and TV had been something of a side deal for him up until recently, I guess.

I was at the City Park driving range and Goodman was having a bad day. Dude threw his driver away. And stormed into the shop area. We were leaving too so walked out behind him. Some guy said "John Goodman what are you doing here?"
Goodman looked at him and said "what the frick else do people do at the driving range?" And kept on walking.

Don't talk to someone having a bad time with his drive game.

Anyone working with the MCU or DCU, just seem to be good with people. The Guardians cast is as social as any group I've ever met, and all of those DC superheroes are pretty awesome people too

My sister met Vince Vaughn at 30a a few years back. said he was very nice, wouldn't take pictures with anyone was his hangup but I also don't shite on him for it.

This is one of the most relatable posts I’ve seen in this thread. As someone told me once, “If you ask a stupid question, don’t be surprised if you get a stupid answer”. This is exactly that haha. Can’t fault Goodman for that response, IMO.
