By the way, to answer the OP, the show is pretty great.
S1 is legit awesome.
S2 is solid but a downgrade.
S3 is a little better than S2.
S4 is great and a lot closer to S1.
Overall it’s really great, and nostalgia hits hard. But it’s also good on its own accord and not solely due to nostalgia.
Only thing I will say is that it prolly should’ve ended with S4. Another season just feels like it’s being dragged out a bit. But if it’s solid it could wrap things up well (since I believe S5 I the final one).

Stranger Things is probably the best show currently kn television (haven't seen House of Dragon) as it pertains to mass general appeal.
S1 is truly original nostalgia.
S2 was decent, but really close to S1 in terms of story.
S3 was not great.
S4 was on the same level as S1

His character has been terrible the entire series. Especially the last season. In fact, the show could have done without the entire B plot in CA except to further develop characters, but Will was especially pointless in this regard.

S3 edges out S4 due to the Mall alone.
It's also interesting that I'm not a horror guy at all, so if S1 started at the same level of horror that S4 had, I would have probably quit watching it. But the way the have built it up, it doesn't phase me as it's more about the characters and where they are going.

Good but overrated. I also feel the first 2 or 3 seasons basically repeated the same story.

I really enjoyed the last season. I thought they made some creative choices that were a little odd. Like constantly trying to have actors make some grand pep talk speech. That isn’t warranted every 30 minutes.
I’ve enjoyed every season. It’s not “realistic”; you could basically put it in a Uchronian style universe. But it’s still good and the directors are masters of using music, creating tense moments, cinematography, etc.

I love it, but they really should have killed Will off. His gay angst angle is bullshite. Also, they turned Mike into a fricking DBag and the show would be better without the focus on 11. Just have her hang back and user her mind powers when needed, but don't focus on her.
The show should just be Steve and Dustin doing adventures together.

My main problem with the show is that none of the main characters really die (really). So there’s not really consequences even when they are in danger.
