Most overrated show on television with a high production value. I've seen all the 80s films I need to see and don't care to see it all get rehashed

Yes. If you grew up in the 80's its great for nostalgia alone. But it's also a great show. Not perfect but very much worth your time.

I sort of enjoyed the first season but my expectations were too high for me to say it was great.

Great show. Don’t want to give spoilers away so I’ll keep it vague but I really appreciate how the show grows to the latest season where the threat or big bad feels much more sinister and hard to stop.
This could easily be another show where it gets boring because the same thing keeps happening, but the last season was probably my favorite because they do a good job making the threat actually elevated, which is rare in shows now.

Basically, yes. There are some drop offs, I'll let you decide where, but last season was particularly good.

I liked it until this last season where all of a sudden the kids are growd up and the show (at least the first couple of episodes after which I stopped watching) seemed to spend a lot of time on them and growing pains rather than the overall storyline.

It’s the best thing Netflix has ever put out. It mixes horror and 80s vibe perfectly. Season 1 is on par with most of the best series of its kind you’ll find. Season 2 and 3 are enjoyable but a step back. Season 4 returns to form and is, imo, even better than season 1.
Stranger Things is worth every bit of the hype. Can’t wait for the final season in a year or two.
