Show took a major nosedive with Aaron Paul. Certainly not the only thing bad about the show though. Need to end it already or just cancel it.

Yea, solid episode. The Caleb stuff was just awesome. A little twisted too. I love that after all of that work/study, the only thing Caleb gave Chalores is just more human emotions. Chalores is losing it.

She is merely creating copies of herself. Ford was about giving hosts free will.

She doesn't want free will for anyone but her. Now she has created a boring world that everyone, including hosts, move in loops she controls.

As for the rebels, I thought they got in and out of New York way too easily. At that point in time, the city probably has cameras and drones all over the place yet they just get away with no pursuit? Yeah, right.

I was hoping she’d jump after she snapped his neck.

Other thoughts:

- Kind of weird how Caleb has a “flaw” that keeps killing him. Either Hale intentionally gave him a short lifespan or there’s something wrong with her “scan” of him. I don’t think it was fully explained? One of the weirder things (to me) was that a host would die from a 20 foot fall.

- Wasn’t Maeve’s control unit inside the piano? How the hell did she come back online?

- It makes sense that Frankie/C would be an outlier since she’s Caleb’s kid. I thought it was odd that her mother was an outlier as well, though. Curious to see how much the show elaborates on what “makes” outliers.

- I like how Bernard’s level of certainty seems to decrease as time passes.

- Poor Stubbs still has to be bored as frick.

Maeve might have used her mesh control just spit balling.

As for Caleb, they never perfected the human hybrid. Delos fell apart as these guys are doing.

Hale is just so weirdly portrayed. Idk if the actress is bad or they want Delores to look and sound stupid. Very odd facial expressions and weird tones of voice and odd dramatic pauses during her dialogue. I get they are technically robots but the concept was for them to be very human acting and she is obviously off.

C installed Maeve’s control unit after locking her partner in that room. That’s where she was going when she was stopped by her.

I'm honestly a little shocked that this show is still on - I watched season 1 and enjoyed it for the most part. It seemed to start coming off the rails near the end of season 1 and I just totally lost interest. Parts of season 1 were very entertaining, though.

Season 1 was some of the best TV of all time. Season 2 was just okay, but unnecessarily complicated. Season 3 was just indescribably bad. Season 4 has been absolutely fantastic. It really cannot be understated just what a complete rebound this show is on. I literally cannot think of another show that declined then came back with this much of a leap in quality in one season.

Ah yeah, that’s right. I was thinking they had perfected it with the other “replacements” but I forgot that those replacements were really just physical copies. I guess they weren’t really intended to be “the same person” in the sense that Caleb is.

Yep. Those are just hosts made to look like people they were replacing. Delos and Caleb were attempts at literally copying a human brain with all of its memories and putting it into a host body in order to achieve immortality.

My brother asked me that yesterday and I didn't have an answer for him. Didn't think about Frankie going there after locking her girlfriend in the room. Easy enough.

Same. Bernard really is a great character. He has no reason to be so loyal to humans but yet he is.

I got a feeling it's going to be that way for him the entire series except for the final episode he might get to kick some arse. Almost more of a comic relief at this point. Dude has been waiting to do something for a long time.

Curious as to who's everybody's favorite character is. I got like 20 downvotes in one of the trailer treads because I said Maeve was my favorite.

The season is almost over and nothing has happened. None of where the characters are today makes any sense, Hale, Maeve, Bill etc. The show and story always has so much potential but the execution is always weak outside of season 1.

The season is almost over and nothing has happened.

We saw Delos start out by replacing key politicians and business leaders with hosts.

We saw that the robots created a parasite that allowed them to control humans like they were hosts using sound waves.

We saw Delos create a new park that served as a "super spreader" event for infecting the elites.

We found out that some humans are able to resist the parasite and have formed a resistance which includes Aaron Paul's child. We also got lots of hints of this crazy fly apocalypse as the flies swarmed families of humans and infected them. However, some of them still have repressed memories of this event.

We saw how the hosts have effectively flipped the paradigm and are now using humans as dolls, but are still sorta stuck in their own loops.

We saw that the hosts are slowly becoming disillusioned with living in this world where they are gods.

We see the mechanisms of control and how the resistance could free the people, at least the ones inside the New York park.

kingbob answered the 1st part but I'm curious what doesn't make sense about their characters? Or is it just you don't understand who they are at this point.

This season has been great.

I like how they are all coming together in the same time-line in the end.

Ready for the resistance, Maeve, and at least one robot Caleb whoop up.

I also can't help but watch and have the Flight of the Concords song "The Humans are Dead" in my head.. haha

quote:

Their system of oppression
What did it lead to?
Global robo-depression
Robots ruled by people
They had so much aggression
That we just had to kill them
Had to shut their systems down

Robo-captain? Do you not realize
That by destroying the human race
Because of their destructive tendencies
We too have become like
Well, it's ironic
Hmm. Silence! Destroy him
