The black and white throwback scenes of IT in the basement of the asylum were the scariest and most chilling yet. Too much CGI for my liking otherwise.

Has this show been worth a damn?

Apart from some terrible CGI, I really like this show and really opens up the Stephen King universe to the point that it makes me want to read and watch some of his other books and film adaptations.

They spent all the special effects budget for tonight’s episode. RIP Rich. That one hurt. Easily best episode of the season.

Fantastic episode. Well done. Poor Rich. That was a hard one.

Also, Chris Chalk is just amazing as Dick Hallorann.

Pennywise is much more effective without all the CGI. Much better this episode

The Richie stuff drug out too long. Shut up and suffocate already.

The season long build up of the military searching for the pillars only to destroy it was lame.

Idk why but I was laughing my arse off when Pennywise was eating Mr Kersh’s head and just staring at Mrs. Kersh while doing it.

What about destroying the pillar brought PW out of his “sleep?” Is the sleep not necessary without the pillars?

I just don’t think this version of Pennywise is that creepy. The haircut and big forehead are just dumb. The old Pennywise was awesome and legit creepy.

I know it's been a few episodes since you said this, do you still feel this way? I think this Pennywise is considerably creepier. I love the look as well.

I have the same question. Damn solid episode, though.

Yeah, I was a bit confused by this as well. Isnt this show supposed to be about the interludes at different cycles? If he’s already set free again? What’s season 2 about? Putting him back to sleep for another cycle?

ETA: I do like this series has highlighted that just because PW prefers kids, it’s not an exclusive things and he’s plenty willing to gorge on adults too. Nice little bit where he took the form of a kid to lure the OG Pennywise to his death.

They've already discussed on the show that their intentions are to use IT as a weapon, which would require them to destroy his "cell".

A lot of people who die in fires die due to smoke inhalation. He was concerned about the roof collapsing and it didn’t.

That said, my new Titanic is there was room in the box for Rich.

I just took it as he could sense it was destroyed and realized this may be his only chance to escape

Made me think of when you're wasted and about to pass out, but then you get that booty call/text and are all of a sudden wide awake.
