Chadwick Boseman is 10x the actor Anthony Mackie is. Mackie lacks the "it" factor.
While I agree that I don’t think he has leading man gravitas, I do like Anthony Mackie and don’t want this to fail for his sake.
F&WS was an abortion, I admit.

2. I think Kang got scrapped because he just wasn’t catching on
He was a crappy villain for sure but they would have kept going with Kang if it wasn't for Major's assault charges/conviction.

Captain America, yes.
Sam Wilson as Captain America, nah.

Take the most boring, least compelling Avenger and replace him with an even blander, less interesting version?
As the most casual fan around, I'm all the way out even when it hits free-streaming.

in the comic books?
The idea that if something happened in the comic books, then it's canon, and therefore must be good is a retarded take.
Not every comic book run of a story was well received. Some were epic, some were acceptable, while others were straight up trash. Based on fan reviews and comics sold.
Not all comic book stories are equal. Hate to break it to y'all.

Saw the preview in the theatre last night and after it was over half the audience burst into laughter.

Anthony Mackie seems pretty solid. Zero issues with him or his acting.
But he's being forced into a role that's not made for him. Getting hand-me-downs from a long standing lead & an established character is just weird.
Falcon is a fine supporting character, or side kick even. But Robin isn't Batman. Falcon isn't Cap.

I think the movie has several problems.
I'm not as familiar with the comic version as I was a pretty casual comic fan.
But as far as the MCU has set up, while also being an avenger, Captain America's either officially or unofficially a member of the U.S. armed forces.
You're telling me the U.S. government is going to have a guy with no super serum be Capt. America when you have 2 other choices that do have a form of the serum?
And if you insist on Falcon being Capt. America, then I feel like the first thing the U.S. Gov. would do is hit him up with the serum.
No serum Falcon VS Hulk is not compelling at all. I would highly expect that he gets the serum in this movie, but if he doesn't then he must pull a win out of his arse with some non-sensical B.S..

I just think the multiple misses post end game from Marvel have soured the theater going audiences at this point, honestly didn’t even know this would be releasing soon

If Steve Rogers, with the serum, went toe-to-toe with the Hulk, they would be able to clean up what's left of him with a mop and bucket. He would only be able to pull a win out of his arse with some non-sensical B.S..

Agreed, I never understood why people would use that to defend a decision. Almost everything has happened in a comic at this point, most of what has happened no one takes seriously. It's not like most of these movies really go for comic accuracy, Civil War is an obvious example.

Who are the choices? Bucky? The guy with multiple assassinations committed in his time as the Winter Soldier
John Walker, the guy who bludgeoned a guy to death in broad daylight who was actively surrendering and giving himself up?
