I mean, yeah. It's literally titled "Suicide Is Painless".

The subject line made me read through the whole thread just to see if anyone mentioned too many Koreans in the show

, the character of "Spear Chucker" was written off pretty quickly
Again why the film will always be superior to the show by 1000-fold.
The best joke in the movie is about Spear Chucker (played by Fred Williamson). It's also why the name is not offensive in the least bit.

Are mixed race marriages a DEI thing?

No. People have been mixing 'races' since the stone age.

That’s one of those obscure “offensive” terms I wouldn’t have known if it weren’t for a little controversy. Did it used to be more common?
I got a warning on Reddit for “hate speech” for describing a certain hairstyle that was popular in the 90’s, with a part down the middle. I had to think about that being an old “offensive” term for a different group of people. Maybe it used to be more common, but I didn’t even think about that context.

I loved MASH. The love grew after Col. Potter and B.J. Honnicutt joined the show. They were better than Henry Blake and Trapper John. Winchester is better than Frank.
Didn't have any problems with the show.

People here are constantly complaining about mixed race couples in commercials though that's usually black and white

Spearchucker was in the book too.
Bridget McCarthy figured more prominently in the book and Augustus Bedford Forrest didn't make the cut at all.

I'll be honest, I'm not much of a fan of excessive black and white couples in commercials. Stuffing ads with it is definitely a DEI thing. It's not authentic. Commercials are a different thing than saying I Love Lucy was DEI. Lucy and Desi were actually interracially married. That is authentic.

Not many people prefer Winchester to Frank. I am one of those people.

As you all know, tonight Colonel Blake will resume his command after a week in Tokyo. Now, unless I made a few remarks about my recent stint as your temporary supreme commander, I would be derelict in my officiousness.
I think you'll all agree that by trying to introduce more discipline, more order, I have hopefully made this a more enjoyable war for all of us. Leadership is a lonely business. Your Napoleons, your Kaisers, your Attilas the Hun... were all alone there in the front office as I have been this week. I have thought of you, and I know you have thought of me...
But some of the notes in the suggestion box were really below the belt! I mean, why drag my mother into this?
But by the time Frank left he had become an idiotic buffoon, just a punching bag for Hawkeye. Charles was a worthy foil for Hawkeye and could match him quip for quip -- some of their exchanges are amusing.
MHO Winchester was a more interesting character than Frank. He was the one good change the show made.

Why is it that you come in these threads and condescendingly post vague insults about people you don't like for whatever reason? There's 35 years of separation between All In The Family and The Colbert Report. Are you sure the same people were watching both of them? You're always calling people stupid and/or racist. It's pretty retarded. Your username does not check out.

Winchester was a competent surgeon, Frank was not. I read somewhere that the writers did that intentionally to change the dynamic with a new character.
I still think the trapper/frank/henry MASH was more entertaining but rewatching those you really notice the intrusive laugh track
