I disagree. I think it has the potential to be one of the best things History has done. I wasn't expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised to say the least.

OK. Who was the god/ghost whatever with the black hat that he kept seeing? I thought he called it Odin at one point but sure didn't look like at least modern conceptions of Odin. Also didn't look like a Valkarye at least the ones from the comic books

I thought it was something akin to the Angel of Death

Odin is traditionally seen as a one-eyed traveller in a cloak and a widebrimmed hat.

watched it last night, enjoyed every second of it. I will probably watch it again today at some point. I think a few of the characters are a little far fetched but even blockbusters have their faults!

Had to be him then. That fits what was shown last night. (though they didn't show him up close enough to determine if he just had one eye).

Must be at least a little difficult to get into valhalla. Cause he just took one of the guys who were dead from that opening scene.

Just watched online

Seems like it was a perfectly executed pilot. We pretty much know everything about all the main characters.

Ep. 2 ..

It was Odin. That is why they always showed a raven before he was seen. Also, him seeing the valkyrie's taking a few of the worthy souls to Valhalla was awesome.

i'm in this bitch.

great first episode to set everything up.

saw the season preview after the show last night and it looks like it's going to get better.

like what someone else said in the other thread about it being a redneck version of game of thrones. and that's not necessarily a bad thing.

I thought it was a prophet or something? I never thought of it being a god or a ghost or something.

Can't be a good thing that his brother seems to be so hot for his wife.

Yeah I thought Rollo was gonna be the one everyone loves until that scene.

That was definitely Odin and some Valkyries in the opening scene. I wonder if they will incorporate other gods like Baldr or Thor

I liked the first episode. It has a ton of potential.

It certainly blows away the crapfest that they made with that awful Bible series.

the execution, production values, and acting are so much better its like they aren't from the same channel.
