Even far lefty progressives hate this show and are trying to cancel Kaling. They think she created it as some sort of right wing psy op to troll them. Not even kidding.

Well spamming can be a modern day protest vote. See Ghostbusters. How else is Hollywood going to get the hint and cater to the audience instead of vice-versa.

It also drives up the popularity of the show on sites like IMDB, where it's currently listed as the 17th "Most Popular" show on the site, 6 spots ahead of House of the Dragon. (The popularity chart is linked to the right of the show's rating on a show's page.)
The spammers are giving the show the attention they don't think it deserves. Seems like they'd be better off ignoring it.

And for the love of God, can we stop with this “Haven’t even seen it yet” garbage take. You don’t need to see the whole episodes to realize how the characters are being portrayed or sample some of the rotgut writing that passes for comedy. Those people who are parroting “watch it first“ are nothing but witless shills for the studio. Just stop it..

I watched the first episode and it was pretty bad. I saw all the things people criticized in that episode alone. Maybe it's not a 1 out of 10, but it's certainly a 2 out of 10.

This kinda thing does seem to happen nowadays.
Allegedly there's a YouTube channel libsoftiktok that just features purple haired educators talking about teaching non binary stuff to elementary school children.
Just showing their videos without comments embarrasses people and gets the channel in trouble with the social media police I guess. Because most people think it's ridiculous or worse.
Granted Kaling is unaware (not intentionally clowning on her own world view). But I can understand why people upset with the outcome would attribute motive to her.
