I tried season 1 and stopped. It recall it being really over the top. Maybe Ill give it another shot.

Season 1 was great. Season 2 is not good so far, introducing some good characters though.

Agree. Season 2 needs to pick up the pace a bit, hopefully once the tournament starts.

Finished the first 3 episodes
They ruined John, He is just a complete simp, as in his entire character exists to serve and support all the women. He is just bullied and beaten by women throughout.
Quiet went from stoic but vulnerable survivor, to selfish bully, a deceitful a-hole, and an abusive psychopath. Not even getting into the generic girlboss trope
Not sure I can muster up the energy to watch anymore, I feel like I know how it's going to end. I find myself pulling for Sweettooth and the Insiders than anyone else
There are just no likable characters, and lots of silly campiness (which I should like)
I will give it one more episode, probably, to see if they can make John stop being a little bitch, and return to being someone worth rooting for.
ETA: Read a tweet with a similar assessment to mine, he suggests the writing in episode 4 is much improved over the dogshit first 3

I can respect this take. It’s the perfect level of corn and ridiculous for me but I can see it being too much for a non-TM nerd from the 90s and 00s.

I was considering it until I saw Anthony Mackie in it. He's on my running list of actors that kill my interest in something.

It took 5 episodes for us to finally get to one that is season 1 quality. Better nail the last few episodes of this season or this show won’t be getting renewed imo. Still can’t believe how bad the first three episodes were. Did they get an entire new team of writers?

I didn’t mind the first few episodes honestly. It was definitely mostly filler but it set up/introduced some of the tournament competitors and that’s all I needed it to do.
The last scene in episode 5 was exactly what I was looking for as soon as I heard this show was being developed years ago.
Honestly, I’m not sure this show should have a season 3. Let’s have one big Twisted Metal tournament and let that be that. Anything else anf the material is getting stretched thin.

started watching season 1 and have pleasantly liked it so far. 6 episodes in so far. I never cared for the video game as a kid. Tried playing it a few times and just never could get into it.
But I have enjoyed the show very much.

Tried to watch it. Could not get out of Las Vegas. The clown was incredibly boring.
