but what does that conclusion have to do with the story of Rust, Marty, and the case?

the multiple references in the "present" by the detectives stating they know his story is full of holes?

Because of Ginger?

the "holes" that they were referring to was already laid out to Marty.

Meaning and truth aren't the same thing. What do religious people seek? Salvation. Again, the religion of darkness is the flipside of Christianity--however, it's the religion of the true god rather than the false(human creation).

Nice catch with Rust being a priest, Ryno.

Ginger could end up being a loose end. But you are also making a really long argument over a loose end that you dont even KNOW to be loose.

You're like a race car that's already crossed the finish line and refuses to slow down.

ETA: You're completely overshooting this. I guess that would be the lawyer in you

no, but the variable of his story having holes is presented in the 2012 storyline. that means his story having holes is a part of the overall story. ginger is another hole in his story

I swear every week we find a way to derail this thread with pointless conversation. This week it's "What happen to Ginger?"....

....and again, Ginger's conclusion would have no bearing on the story at hand.

I don't think it really matters...

...but if the detectives are suspicious of Rust, and they interview Ginger, I don't know what they would take from knowing how Rust actually found LeDeaux

i'm not a Christian. what exactly is the "flipside" of Christianity? are you talking about just Salvation?

what exactly is the opposite of salvation? corruption? destruction?

oh well it COULD absolutely play out. If the 2012 detectives got their hands on Ginger they would know that Cohle told them a bunch of lies, and thus further incriminate him in their eyes.

the point is we dont even know if Ginger is alive yet at the moment. It's like jesus yall...

I'm leaning towards Ginger being dead in a ditch. he services no purpose anymore.

If the found that out, they'd be "interrogating" Marty as well, instead of "interviewing" him.....if that makes any sense. Because Marty had a hand in everything that went down with the biker gang as well.

damnation?

that's fine

so they're seeking damnation...again, why not just kill themselves once they find truth. if the meaning is damnation and the truth is that reality is pointless/pessimistic and eternal, then what point does a false existence on this plane serve?

For all you fricktards worrying over Ginger, just go look on IMDB and see if the actor who plays Ginger is credited for Ep 6,7 or 8. But looking on IMDB is also cheating IMHO.
