If Ginger was dumb enough to storm the ghetto he is dumb enough to do anything. No way they let him live. But he poses a hole in the story. This a detective show we should expect every detail to be given attention.

Maybe, but he's not relevant to the story anymore. You guys are discussing a part of a story that doesn't exist.

Can anyone confirm that Reggie Ledoux's hideout/cook shack was in Alluvial City/Shell Beach/Yscloskey area in St. Bernard Parish? The barren/desolate trees (looked stripped of everything) and the gas plant in the distance looked like the one in Yscloskey... $.02

LeDoux's compound as well as the burned church were sets built in the Bonnet Carre Spillway. LeDoux's compound in the story line is located in Sulphur.

i know Reggie's hideout may have been shot in St Bernard, but on screen, Marty tells Rust he is on the creole nature trail (HWY 27) just south of I-10 almost to Carlyss. then they show him arriving shortly after. I would think for the purposes of the story Reggies hideout is in Calcasieu or Cameron Parish. So funny to hear Carlyss mentioned on a show this big

I don't think I've ever seen you be this wrong about something. Stop being so contrarian about this show it's like attempting to take the fun out of a blowjob.

sfp's MO--from sports to political talk to aesthetics--is crafting very plausible opinions that are ultimately baseless.

Yes, by watching death unfold, and by watching people die "with awareness"--remember the eyes. They go willingly. They are souls who have seen the truth, and the cultists are shepherds of that truth.

once you reach awareness of the truth, since time/existence has no earthly meaning, why not just kill yourself?

Based on the setting alone, it's in Choupique.

Assuming he's fricked if they find him, he could reasonably be counted upon to stay as far away from those guys as possible, couldn't he?

but it does exist

in the false reality that is this season of true detective, ginger exists. the threat he poses exists.

that doesn't just go away because there is another story to focus on. it's a major loose end

Because you aren't interested in earthly meaning, but eternal meaning.

said that last night too. Thought it was pretty cool they were mentioning Carlyss.

But yeah, again, like I said....he'd be at or around Choupique.

Anyone watch the behind the episode short vignettes on HBO.com with commentary from NIc P?

I watched last night and they show a brief clip of the scene of Reggie on his knees talking to Cohle just before Marty blasts him and Reggie says the line "you are a priest too…I saw you in my dreams"

The line "you are a priest too" was cut from the episode that aired.

Interdasting.

In your mind, of course.

In the True Detective story at this point, no it doesn't. You've done ventured into a territory that isn't being discussed or would be played out.

I wouldn't call it major. I think it's pretty obvious what Ginger was needed for and that's that. There's nothing else he is needed for in the story.

Sure, he may have been capped, but what does that conclusion have to do with the story of Rust, Marty, and the case?

Nothing.

No. I'm saying that you're bringing it up and making it sound like a bigger dean than what it actually is...
