That was nicely done
Also, I want a Smarty Pants now.
And, I thought the multi buzzes infiltrating Blaze’s house was kind of a nice call back to Toy Story 1 where Sarge and his green army men traversed through Andy’s house to setup a recon post for Woody

Saw it yesterday with our six year old and we all thought it was great.
I was a little worried about how I’d like it since it was gonna be so Jessie-heavy. But I still liked it. I definitely prefer more Woody and Buzz centric Toy Stories though.
Some nice callbacks to other installments.
I thought they handled the tech angle pretty well. And I liked that Lily recognized that she was harming Bonnie and tried to fix that. And the ancillary tech toys were great.
The wedding with Buzz and Jessie was a little strange that he seemed to be in the bride role. But it was two girls playing so it’s whatever.
The angle with Emily naming her daughter Jessie was fantastic. Made my wife cry. Very sweet. And I liked the idea of Jessie discovering that instead of Emily still living there and her kid being the friend. And I thought they did a good job with Blaze and connecting her to Bonnie with the mutual love of horses and all of that.
The army of Buzzes was a little strange but I enjoyed it.
I’m a champion for TS4. But this one was likely slightly better. I’d rank this one as the third best TS (31542). I’ll watch Toy Story movies as long as they churn them out. And yes, I know I am in the small minority because I think TS2 is by far the worst one.

TS2 is not the worst! What in the world?!? I might look at you different now. TS4 is def the worst.

Yes it is. And TS2 is awesome. It’s just my least favorite Toy Story movie. Outside of the When She Loved Me sequence (which is one of Pixar’s best), it’s not very good (comparatively to the franchise).

Just got out with the kids. Weakest Toy Story movie so far. Fight me

Brought my girls (4&2) for their first theatre experience. It went well and they enjoyed it.
Wife and I really enjoyed it, we felt it was much better than 4.
The first 3 are all perfect movies and the OG was my favorite movie as a child. I watched it in vhs all the time lol.
TS2 is the best one imo followed very closely by TS and TS3.
A gap and then TS followed by another small gap then TS4.
But they are all good.

By far and away my favorite scene of the movie. One of the sweetest things ever.
I greatly enjoyed this one. I thought even though this was a Jessie movie, she is a good character. Woody was such a minor character. And even though there was a lot of good humor and lines in this one, it was also very depressing. Jessie getting rejected twice and Bonnie constantly getting made fun of and never making a friend until the end. That depressed me.
This is how I'd rank the Toy Story's:
3
1 (it's very close between 3 and 1 though I tend to change my mind often)
5
2
4
Also this is obvious to me, but there's absolutely going to be a 6th. It'll be Andy having a kid(s) and getting his old toys back in the end.

I enjoyed it.
Very Jessie Centric plot line. I wish Buzz and Woody had bigger rolls, but I liked the plot a lot.
I rank them:
12354
I think 2 is so underrated but it’s a really fun tight movie.
3 is great but rides a nostalgia bias that I dont think holds up when you aren’t a 90s kid who was going to college like Andy when it came out.

I know i’m in the minority but I did feel like toys holding hands and they accept death with dignity is a bit intense for a children’s movie
I do have a different perspective on this having watched them with my child vs when they came out.

How so? It is absolutely beloved, especially on here. If anything, it is very overrated.

No way. Everything about 3 is great, but the ending of him giving his toys to Bonnie and playing with them one last time before going off to college is top-tier closure. It's why they should've stopped at 3, since it ended things so perfectly.
But that being said, 4 is great and so was 5. Every TS movie is great; it's one of the most consistently good franchises ever.

The IP is too valuable, I doubt these movies stop anytime soon. if 3 is the ending in your head then just go with that and ignore the other movies. I never get why this upsets people

Took the kids Sunday to see it and we loved it. It really hit hard having a daughter and dealing with the “dance girl group chats”. This one definitely made you care more about the humans than the toys, which made it feel fresh. This one also looks very different from the first 3 because of the advances in technology, this one is darker with visual/lighting than the others.
Toy Story 4 was great until the ending. Woody going back on everything he ever said and leaving his kid and friends ruined it. Apparently doesn’t “have a friend in me”.

4 I thought Woody was annoying as frick
We took them sunday, I thought it was fine but the kids enjoyed it and that's who they're making them for at this point.

I agree. But he’s been a whiny little bitch in literally every single one though.
