And that's it. Kinda a moot point on ranking his films.

This.

Unless my first post in this thread is considered.

Note to the board: More of you need to watch Punch-drunk Love.

2. 50 First Dates
3. The Waterboy
4. Big Daddy
5. Click

Sandler haters can GTFO. The guy's not trying to win an Oscar every year. God, so many uptight pricks in this thread.

Seriously his movies aren't supposed to be deep and intelligent, they are designed to be stupid and get you cheap laughs, they do there job IMO

Also Little Nicky is really dumb but it's funny

I don't have a problem enjoying Adam Sandler movies for what they are, especially his earlier work. He really just hasn't been in a decent comedy in a long time, in my opinion.

3. Reign Over Me
4. Happy Gilmore
5. The Waterboy

Little Nicky is slightly entertaining and nowhere near as bad as Zohan, Mr. Deeds, or any of the turds he's put out in the last several years.

Oh no doubt. That's why most of the movies in these lists are from the 90's. But these guys expecting a groundbreaking film really need to realize it's just for cheap laughs.

Exactly. The guy is running a Ponzi scheme trying to get as many of his friends as much money as possible, inflates the hell out of the budget of his films, goes to as many corporations as possible in order to finance his films. The guy is a con artist and the last thought on his mind is making a good/funny film. Just one that the popcorn eating masses will be dumb enough to see.

I dont know if hes ever come out and said this but his recent fare (funny people aside) seems to show that hes tried to make family friendly movies now that hes had kids. The guy has matured a bit (and by maturing he quit doing the frat guy comedy completely and wanted to be a little cleaner for families). I for one think his career is refreshing in a way. Hes not known as some sort of crazy partier, in fact hes a family man, and hes made his living acting and/or producing fun movies goofing off with his friends. Not everybody has to be a Brando.

Same here.

Wedding Singer is probably second. Waterboy 3rd.

I can't put Anger Management in there... Jack Nicholson really stole that movie. Sandler was average in it.

Here are the Sandman's recent movies(since 2008)

Zohan(2008)
Bedtime Stories(2008)
Funny People(2009)
Grown Ups(2010)
Just Go With It(2011)
Jack& Jill (2011)

The only one I really enjoyed was Bedtime Stories, really good family flick. Just Go With It had some laughs but Nick Swardson ruined it for me. Zohan was annoying, Funny People was boring and I havent see Jack & Jill but ill say it was bad. 1 good movie out of 6 in 4 years isn't that bad.

This one sentence describes everything wrong with Adam Sandler films.

Because there is an incredible amount of product placement in Adam Sandler films that is incredibly insulting. At least with Happy Gilmore that was at least a plot point. All Popeyes is is just there for advertising. I can just think of fat fricking idiots just laughing about Popeyes solely because they've heard of Popeyes. From this point forward, Adam Sandler films all have an incredible amount of product placement where the product placement actually becomes a part of the plot. I can't think of a single nation-wide restaurant chain that hasn't been mentioned in an Adam Sandler film at least once.

Just curious:

When was the last time you've seen Punch-drunk Love, how old were you, and what state (emotional/mental) were you in?
