What's everyone's problem with listing Tombstone as a top Western movie?

I’ll stick with modern westerns.

I'm surprised nobody has listed either Hell or High Water or No Country for Old Men yet.

Well according to mizzou, if Hateful Eight is not a western, than No Country for Old Men surely isn’t lol.
That said, if No Country for Old Men is a western, I’d add it to my list. It was amazing

Really happy to see 3:10 to Yuma remake getting love. It was the first modern Western that I saw in theaters and it was a great and enjoyable film.

Great movie but I don't consider it a Western

Why not? The film is set in the West and involves US Cavalry and Indians. John Wayne built his career in that type of movie

I consider this sort of like the Goodfellas of Westerns.
You have to drop everything and watch it.
It's not the greatest Western but very Shawshank. It's become a classic.

The good the bad and the ugly is not only the best western, it’s one of the best films, period.

How is Dancing With Wolves NOT a Western?
It took place in the West and is about the demise of the Plains Indians way of life.
