That episode was incredibly well done
Yes, exactly.
The last few episodes were made to do one thing, give closer to not just the BCS world, but the BB world (not covered by EC).
What were people thinking? There would be a shoot out at the Cinnabon or something?
Saul was a bad lawyer and a scumbag person, that had only one good quality, Kim.
He used his last bit of goodness to protect the one good thing in his life.

The flashbacks they chose were interesting.
The first two with Mike & Walt highlighted Saul’s selfishness and materialism.
The third with Chuck showed that he did have a semblance of a heart and a conscience in that he felt obligated to take care of his brother.
But Kim was his real heart. She was the Luke to his Vader.
In the end it was her soul that brought him back from the dark side.

It appears a number of people here share the same opinion.
Again, whatever dude.

Was there some significance to Chuck reading the time machine book and all the time machine discussions that im missing?
It shows that he was thinking about him. When Jimmy was at the hearing for re-admission to the bar, he didn't bring up Chuck, as Kim pointed out, which made him appear insincere. But since then Chuck's been on his mind, to the extent that he even brought up Chuck during the federal court sentencing this episode, even when he didn't have to.
So I guess that's the show's way of showing that in the end, people finally mattered to Jimmy.

Saul getting busted in a dumpster while trying to pick up diamonds was not very creative but it was so appropriate it worked.

I was a big critic of the last three episodes but they tied it together tonight. The flashbacks and cameos really just solidified the process.
Of course it was going to be a "letdown" after the murders and cartel stuff in this season but remember this show was always very methodical and slow until just recently.
I'm just wondering for those who didn't like the ending (I get it and it's fine) - what did you expect?

Did anyone else think that iPhone commercial was part of the show?
"Who's he calling?"
"Who's he calling?"

“omg this show was so disappointing, like I’ve never seen the ending of game of thrones but this must’ve been what it felt like”
Basically what you said in a previous episode thread.

Ruin a 7 year deal? Unfricking believable.. frick this finale.

The finale was fine but it was boring and not memorable. I don’t know what the other options are but this will not be remembered the same way as BB.

That's not worded correctly, at all.
You be you dude.

I really liked it. It feels like an episode that I’ll appreciate more as time passes.

I thought the finale was incredible. If it’s not a shootout, huge twist or big surprise it’s deemed a failure. We got to see Saul become a lawyer again and then back into Jimmy. Flashbacks to different moments in his life. Kim get her life back.
I wish someone had hinted on whether or not skyler/Walt jr got the money from Walt.

My thoughts
No way anyone would sabotage An 8 year deal for life
The bus scene was cringe when they started chanting
It looked kind of creepy with Saul at the end just staring
Solid B

A huge arc started at the beginning of the series when he was rummaging through the Sandpiper dumpster — they pieced together their shredded documents to discover a crime.
It think that dumpster scene tonight symbolized the end of his arc.

He did tell Oakley who would be on top at the end. It was basically his last FU to Bill by sabotaging it.

Who here is completely pissed about Saul making dough at the end?
I was thinking he was making Cinnabons in prison, making his the ultimate guy in the Fed. Could you image? He would be a king there.
Instead, he was making fricking bread.

I don't get how Jimmy tanking his plea in any way helps Kim and her possible civil suit. Doesn't seem like plausible dots to connect.

The Kim and Jimmy closure was as happy as we were going get with the heart of the show. At least neither are dead.
A better finale would have been if he had went with the deal and got sent to the country club prison. As he’s getting off the bus it went to color implying that Jimmy/Saul will live on and in 7 years who knows?

He admits (or even makes up) stuff that clears Kim. How he even played Kim. She was a victim as well.
