Cox once ran a commercial with the fur babies term. I felt like throwing the remote. The other one that pisses me off is Louie the French bulldog, which they ran a couple of years ago, retired, then brought back in the last few months. His master can watch TV while he walks him, and this somehow makes Louie "top dog." "Well played, Louie, well played." Thing is, Louie didn't do shite! Drives me up the wall.

OTOH, Cox has made some of my favorite commercials, like Bella and her grandma bear and the one where the actress dressed up like characters in her favorite shows. Those were good.

I just remembered another series of commercials..on ESPN the last month or so (during nba playoffs) they would air commercials that were supposed to be a simulated text conversation between 2 people talking about basketball. It's annoying because I can see a bunch of crusty white dudes in suits in a board room trying to figure out what "kids" actually text like.

One side would text somethign like "King James lit tonight!" followed by a bunch of crown and fire emojis, then the other side would text back somethign like "Idk fam I'm looking at upset city!!" wiht a couple of the eyeball emojis. It was all very cringey.

What's that stupid commercial about the woman who's "sheshed" is burning down? Yeah.. throw her in there with it while it's still on fire.

Doesn't piss me off, but it is interesting. TD Ameritrade has been running this commercial about having an "investment coach," and they illustrate it with three people shooting hoops. Their woman advisor, Lee McAdoo, is the last one to shoot, and she hits some string music. Used to be, she'd make a gun with her hand, blow on the barrel, and holster it to celebrate. Now she just stands there as her buddy tells her, "Mad Skillz." I guess they figured the gun metaphor was in bad taste.

That Smart TV ad where this guy is so shocked and amazed that his tv can tell him where the nearest Thai restaurant is.

Geico commercial with the soccer player who scores then goes into an infinite slide on the ground around the field.
